People are saying it’s a pretty bad card and a “nerf to evolve” shaman.

Well, it kinda is and kinda isnt.

Yes there is now and 5 mana 1/1 that you can evolve into, but equally so there is a 5 mana minion that changes your 2/2, 3/3 jade or 2/3 jade cat thing (after attacking) to gain a couple extra stats, then you can
    -DK evolve it,
    -Evolve the entire board
-Unstable Evolve it (and continue doing so if you have mana
-the evolve minion (the 4/5 battle cry one, I mean you could tech that in :P)

Think of it this way, yes your chain gang now has a chance a 1 in however many 5 drops there are chance, to be this card.

Equally so you have X amount of chances to evolve this poor Stat minion into a 6 cost minion.

Need I remind you Evolve shaman runs Doppelgangster? A card giving them 3, 5 mana 2/2 they are almost always playing evolve with on turn 6?

Given that case, and often times they do have 1 or 2 minions surviving past turn 5, if you don’t have Doppelgangster in your hand but have this and a totem on board, easy stats.

Alternatively this is good for late game for Shaman, because their deck focuses on good RNG for high Stat minions to overwhelm the opponent, in the case they run out of fuel, this provides a small assistance (best with the DK to evolve after using battlecry)

Overall, I say this is not an instant dust for 10/100 dust, but I also don’t have high hopes.

(Even my example is extremely situational, possible yes, but dopplegangster just offers WAY more value)

Keep in mind its not just up to 5/5 of stats you add to the board, its 5/5 effectively with charge. So it has a little more value than just vanilla.

Nope, its not. It TRANSFORMS the minion into a 6/6 elemental wich does not have charge

oh yeah my bad. I was thinking it was like bonemare

I don’t think it’s tier 1 material but I do think it is rated too low.

Attack an opponents minion with a minion, then heal it and buff. Then if you’re shaman, evolve it.

I was wondering, if you potion of madness a minion, and then transform that minion into the 6/6, will you keep it? I think you will, but i’m not sure. Does anyone know the interaction between potion of madness and polymorph or hex? Because I giess that will work the same. I’m not saying that it will be good, but i was just wandering.

Because something like polymorph or hex changes the minion you potioned/shadow madnessed it would lose the effect of either spell and you’d get to keep the transformed minion. This card would work in the same way.

Rulings clarification for those confused: all passive effects on the minion transformed, including those such as potion of madness, expire.

I am quite sure, instances when a potion of madness-ed minion is transformed causes them to lose all buffs and effects, including the return to you opponent’s board.

A conditional seven//seven for five, the dream, trade, transform and heal. I like it for arena.
