I think this is great news. Rotating core set is much needed and should make the game much fresher. Classic mode is probably more of a novelty then anything but expect it will be fun as an occasional alternative. Realistically we were never going to get full dust refunds so not sure not sure how people are upset about that. Only thing I wish they would address is the dust economy which has always been shocking. Overall though very positive news.

Yes but it’s a really bad idea, if you open a legendary from the new set you’ll end up with 2 rather than a new legend card.

Tricky one for me, I have 15 packs saved up and whilst I think several of the rares and commons are great, I’m really not sure how good the legendaries ‘s are. If the 4 legendaries were better or there were more epics it’s an easy 2000 gold (and I probably still will do that deal), but it’s not quite as straight forward a decision as I thought it would be a few days ago.

Controversial but I’ve cut Edwin from my version. I just think its too slow and that extra mana is problematic.

I’d recommend playing Tenwu of the Red Smoke instead. Synergizes really well with almost every minion in the deck, has decent stats for cost, and is good early, mid and late game .

yep, although if there was any way for you to get enough dust to craft a golden Velen instead, you would be A LOT better off.

Only a 2.9 Rating! Lol, surprised people can’t see how busted this card is gonna be, I’ll be one of the first to say this is likely to be first card nerfed in this new set.

Yeah, Can’t believe how good it is. Actual list looks messy but it’s such a strong deck, easily best I’ve played with WW so far. Crushes paladin and warlock and got me to legend very easily. Can’t recommend it enough right now.

I love the artwork and It’s good card, Just not sure if it’s good enough. If it’s an aggro meta I think this is too slow, especially with ice block gone, However should it be a slower set, this could see a lot of play.
Same story in wild for me too, looks like it could be good, but again the aggro decks are too fast and the variance is probably too great.

I’ll still put it in my wild Reno deck and see how I get on, but won’t be surprised if it gets cut.

Black Knight was the first legendary I opened and always makes me sad I can’t play it. Maybe they should give this guy taunt so we can bring him back! 🙂

Be interested to see how much play this see’s. Clearly a strong card, but as Stonekeep mentions, the lack of taunt could hinder it. If you’re behind on board it doesn’t really help and if you’re ahead it feels like a ‘win more’ tool.

That being said, as a neutral minion in an expansion with voodoo doll. It’s already got one perfect tutor target. Won’t be disappointed to open it.

I think this would have been better as a warrior class card and really 1 mana less or dealing more damage, Nice idea for a card but doesn’t look strong enough for competitive play.

Apparently in testing it added a golden copy but it was too OP so they had to nerf it

Aside from the obvious synergies with Jaina, defile etc.. , the fact it can deal with untargetable minions like tyrantus and soggath is going to make it much easier to deal with priest decks that high roll with free from amber.

Decent card, Obvious problem is that it doesn’t synergize with spell hunter well and is could be too slow for facehunter,

Green skin is really important is this deck and tough to replace. That being said I would probably run a second assassins blade, although another dread corsair would be ok too.
