Mulligans
I got the Unseal the Vault as my free quest and my first attempts to use it were built around beasts and masters call but that didn’t seem to work as well as I hoped so I thought about using the Bomb Hunter shell since it was a proven deck with a lot of token generation. When that also struggled a bit, I noted a big issue is not just generating minions but having a druid soul of the forest style way of making sure they stick to the board. That led to a build centered around Replicating Menace and Nine Lives, a combo that generated a ton of tokens for quest completion while simultaneously giving you a way to make them stickier. Throw in Sn1p-Sn4p and voila, there’s your version of soul of the forest. Then, of course, I saw a bunch of other people got to this conclusion faster than I did so I did what any great artist does and stole some of their ideas to mesh with my own. Here’s my version of Token Quest Hunter. Token deck essentially requires swarm of locusts and unleash the hounds, plus questing explorer for card draw. mech hunter staples ursatron, and spider bomb. Went with a slower version I saw, with necromechanic, Zilliax, and mechanical whelp for big swings, healing and increased stickiness. I have mecharoo for a sticky mech thats useful early or late, Khartut defender for healing and defense, while I debated on galvanizer vs venomizer. i feel like the former is great early but trails off later while the latter is more versatile. Something to keep in mind is that magnetizing doesn’t contribute to quest completion, and magnetized minions don’t show up with NIne Lives, only the base ones. Reborn does contribute to the quest however. Not sure how competitive it’ll be in the long run but i’ve done alright so far and its pretty fun to play.
