The lack of 2-drop instantly makes me think of Keleseth. Granted, what value would Keleseth provide in a spell-oriented deck?
Not sure, but I definately want to experiment with him a little bit.
At thr very least he’d make your little Cats and Pyros a lot more threatening and difficult to deal with.

I’d recommend it. I was running a similar deck to this with Dragoncaller Allana instead of the Baron, and I have found the Baron is a lifesaver for me.

I have had a hell of a time finding success with Odd Mage, and tumbled from rank 16 down to 20 trying to make my previous deck work. I bit the bullet and dusted Dragoncaller for the Baron and noticed a change pretty immediately. He really helps with surviving the switch to Frostlich which is usually a tricky spot for me.

I am now saving up for Alexstrasza.

Swapping out ooze for Jones is viable?

Yup, and I think it will be even better than ooze because you already have so much 3 drops and almost none 5s.

I feel like x2 Arcane Artificer is way better than x2 Fire Fly. As a sort of Big Spell Mage you don’t really need the board presence on turn 1, your Hero Power + Taunt 3 mana drops + 5 Mana removals are enough to handle the early game, as it’s always been with this archetype.
The Arteficers on the other hand (not being a real 1 drop) can still provide the Armor you need to keep you alive against Aggro and Not-OTK-Combo Decks.
Also in my build I use Alanna instead of Alexstrasza, like I said before you are still a Big Spell Mage after all 😉

PS. I’m 18-4 with the changes, and win most of the mirrors against this buid.

Same here, Alanna is really good finisher against other control decks here 🙂 Made my way to rank 7 from 15 in just one day with similar deck and I’m still going 😀

Here it is if you want to try it. I’d but Zola instead of Taskmasker. Also I’m considering putting another Astromancer but not now, I can’t stop winning with this deck as it is now :’D
