Deck Import

My Dreaming Ends… Your Nightmare Begins…

This decks is my take on a C’Thun warrior, that is built to absolutely destroy aggro, along with having anti-control tools to help you win the long game. It has a total of 6 Board Clears (not including C’Thun) in the form of whirlwind effects and Brawl  of course.  It also has hard removal with Shield Slam and Execute. This deck also has one copy of Dead Man's Hand to really squeeze out as much value as you possible can in the control matchups. While your C'Thun won’t be the absolute biggest in the world, it will still get up to some hefty numbers that are sure to kill a lot of things, or even just kill your opponent outright. This is especially useful with multiple, as you can get up to 4 Whole C’Thuns!

Matchups, Strategy & Card Choices

Versus Aggro:

You want as many board clears as possible, and cards that gain armor. One of my favorite things to do versus aggro is Cornered SentryDrywhisker Armorer to gain a ton of armor. This works even better with Brann Bronzebeard, and can get you up to 24 armor. Sometimes, you don’t even need to use Cornered Sentry versus decks like Odd Paladin. A good combo is always Cornered Sentry + any of your whirlwind effects, such as Blood Razor

Card Replacements:

While this is a very heavy anti-aggro deck, if you can still struggle versus some decks that are hard to interact with such as Kingsbane Rogue. Cut the greedy cards such as Dead Man's HandDoomcaller, Brann Bronzebeard, and Coldlight Oracle to put in cards better against aggro. Such as Gluttonous OozeSleep with the FishesDyn-o-matic, Zilliax or even Stonehill Defender.

If you have the card (I personally do not) you can put in Twin Emperor Vek'lor. This is good verus both control and aggro alike, and is just a very good card in all C’Thun decks.

Versus Control:

Depending on how fast the matchup is, you want to be very greedy. This could mean saving Brann Bronzebeard to double up on your C’Thun buffs, or to use Dead Man's Hand to shuffle in a lot of cards for fatigue. You can also shuffle in high value cards, like your C’Thun buffs or C'Thun himself. One matchup that I have won quite a few times (it is very hard to win) is verus a Mecha’thun. Not only is Coldlight Oracle a way to draw cards, but it is a way to mill your opponent, especially with Brann Bronzebeard. Most of the time you can overdraw important combo pieces. Another way to beat the Mecha’thun matchup, is to leave up their Voidlords and out-armor them. Then their combo will not work.

Card Replacements:

Since most of your anti-aggro tools will be sitting in your hand, clogging it up in control matchups, you can remove them for better cards. You should take out the armour package of Cornered SentryDrywhisker Armorer and put in more C’Thun buff cards, and even another Doomcaller/Dead Man's Hand
