Mulligans

Hi guys,

Had some fun with this on casual in wild. Had some 50/50 winrate at rank 7 also. It beat tokenbased decks like paladin and hunter. Also teched for combodruid.

The quick strategy is to load your shudderwock with as many battlecries as possible (20 max right?) or play him sooner if you have to, to make a huge turn. Reno and Hagata so you can stretch.

I’ll discuss the combo or very handy cardchoices here:

Blazing Invocation
Handy to fill a gap in your curve while playing in the early game or to have a nice combo battlecry. Make sure you don’t pick something that blows up in your face when playing shudderwock.

Acidic Swamp Ooze
The first time it’s just weapon removal. In the full combo it means your opponent can’t use his weapons more than once for the rest of the game.

Baleful Banker
The first time it’s a good copy for a card you really need that game, maybe Reno, Loatheb, MCT and sometimes Mossy Horror. In the full combo it means getting a Shudderwock back in your deck and milling yourself less.

Devolve
Don’t like buffed up silverhands, beasts, murlocs, Rin or voidlords comming back at his deathknight? Devolve them into wisps or the lichking. So be carefull out there.

Dirty Rat
The first time it needs some wisdom to play it. Because it’s a Renodeck there won’t always be a hard removal for when things go wrong but against tokendecks you just play a huge buff and give your opponent a small minion (or hopefully something with a battlecry). Against combodruid you can win the game by this guy. But in this case and all other cases make sure to have a big removal.
But in the full combo he becomes really dirty, make sure your opponents hand is empty before wiping the board with several battlecries of Primordial drake and Hagatha.

Coldlight Oracle
Drawing cards is very important to get to your combo quicky. Also when you have the combo, shaman joins the millingparty. Taking fatique less fast than your opponent (balefull banker) and healing yourself completly several times so you have more security about the right order.

Mind Control Tech
With or without Dirty Rat, in or out of the full combo this is just a great card that got me a lot of unbuffed silverhands… But some people have more luck.

Kezan Mystic
Can’t you just run secret eater? Maybe, but secret paladin isn’t really a thing and this is more fun.

Lifedrinker
In a Shudderwockdeck, of course. Just replaced refreshment vendor because this one makes sure that in the full combo your opponent dies faster than you.

Rumbling Elemental
This card waited long enough to see some play. Doesn’t die fast with 6 health wich makes it a great turn 4 play, followed up by some smaller battlecry minions this wrecks call to arms.

Saronite Chain Gang
Doubles your Shudderwock so you can bounce it back to your hand and/or your deck.

Antique Healbot
Extra healing to get to your combo and believe me, you’ll need it. In the combo it helps you spread your changes to make sure you heal from that nasty fatique.

Loatheb
What he does as a single card is great. When you play the full combo it means your opponent isn’t going to be able to play spells for the rest of the game.

Grumble, Worldshaker
Bounces back some great cards the first time (reno maybe?). In the full combo it means you have infinite Shudderwocks.

Mossy Horror
No small minions allowed. Make sure to keep your opponents board empty because Tarim is also a 6 cost minion.

Reno Jackson
Sometimes just wins the game against a facedeck, people don’t really expect it in Shaman so push face when your around 14 and let you have the board. In the full combo it means getting healed back to 30 several times every turn.

Hagatha the Witch
A great wipe and armor against the tokendecks. Huge value for the rest. A lot of spells are bad but an extra volcano, healing rain or elemental destruction makes up for that. Sometimes windfury or something is great to.
In the full combo it means wiping the board of your opponent (because you’re busy bouncing shudderwock).

Primordial Drake
Also a great wipe and a nice body. Great to bounce with Grumble also. Hagatha has 3, this one 2 so you don’t destroy your Shudderwock by accident.

Shudderwock
Your planned win condition. But! If you burn this because your opponent made you mill some cards (please count before mana tide totem) do not concede against everything that’s not running cubes and demons. You have a huge amount of minions and Hagatha wich means a lot of value. You can have a second Reno and have enough wipes to still win.
And to be honest, having Shudderwock doesn’t mean you do win a lot against Cubelocks, but what does?

If you have ideas for a good include. Feel free to share it at the comments!

    Hi man,

Tried out your deck and swapped a few cards around with some succes!

Added zola the gorgon (very flexible, on reno, big game hunter or whatever) and big game hunter (shooting big priest / sea giants never gets old, especially when shudderwock does it for ya).

removed blazing ivocation and rumbling elemental (by far your weakest card, cut it for something else, you’ll never get proper value from it). also removed lifedrinker (since we dont go full shuder combo) and kezan mystic since there aren’t that many mages in my meta atm.

ponering to add in elemental destruction as a big board clear and thalnos to empower some spells and additional cards draw.

i’m enjoying this deck at rank 3 ish atm 🙂

Very Interesting, I will probe it. But I put Brann Bronzebeard because is a battlecry deck, should help a lot.

How did I not see Brann! What did you cut out?

I would cut Far Sight, Maelstrom Portal (there is not to much aggro in wild) or Accolite (I think the deck has no card draw problems).

        Could also work Murmuring Elemental…

Pretty sweet deck. I’ve been playing this at rank 3 with saronite chain gang and dopple gangster along with evolve for unexpected swing turns. Evolve can even be saved for after sudderwock for a board of random 10 drops 🙂
