General Mulligans

You almost always need to mulligan for aggro because against control your win condition doesn't usually arive until fatigue unless they've drawn very poorly throught the game (not something to count at). Worth keeping one Voidcaller or a Lackey thought if you're 100% certain the opponent plays a slower deck. Also I think that Librarian and Spellstone are must keeps against enery kind of opponent, but that's just a preferance.

This deck usually plays out like a normal control warlock: cheating your big demons and then playing Gul’Dan to bring them back and try to grind out the game. Where it differenciates fron that is when facing an opponent who can’t be dealt with the usual way. Normally you play Cube and Doomguard for exactly that kind of situations and N’Zoth for extra board floods, but the thing is, those are not failproof win conditions against grindier opponents.

On the other hand now with Mecha’thun we’ve got an emergency button that works 100% of the times. The catch is this: you need to be in fatigue and have more than 5 life. I mean that’s easy right ? “And the payback for missing the boardfloods and burst damage ?” you might ask, and I’m glad you did: YOU WIN THE GAME. Simple as that, sounds interesting ?

The combo is as follows: play Emperor hitting Bloodbloom and Mecha’thun (this can be done many turns in advance so don’t worry to just thorw down the Emperor early if you have those 2 cards in hand), later when you get to fatigue try to remove sticky deathrattles from your board (or have the said hard to deal with opponent do it for you) and just play Mecha’thun (9) + Bloodbloom (1) + Cataclysm (4 Health). That way assuming you have no deck you just got rid of your entire hand and board BEFORE Mecha’thun’s deathrattle triggers, so the conditions are met and YAY WE’VE GOT A WINNER!

I think this deck is way better and more consistent than the usual Cubelock and also that’s a way faster win condition than Rin for a classic control Warlock that also encourages card draw (so it’s very synergistic with the whole archetype), not to mention that it doesn’t leave you vunerable turn after turn and it can’t whiff (when you’re both on fatigue for example).

All in all I can see this as a more inevitable win condition assuming that you’ve stayed alive thus far in the game and you didn’t already won. Plus the combo is only 4 cards and 1 of them being Emperor, that has an very huge upside in handlock type decks. Worth mentioning that even if I feel that the control Warlock shell is very fitting for this sort of win condition, I’m not entirely sure my list is 100% good and might need some tweaking, according to the meta game, personal preferences, or card some extra synergy I’ve missed.
