For most people, playing this type of deck with a Quest seems like a very weird choice.

I added it because it generates incredible value in the late game and it is one of the reason why this deck is so strong in the end. I recommend playing the Time Wrap when you either don't have board control or to setup a Jaina next turn.

For me, Luna's Pocket Galaxy is the strongest Mage card of the new Boomsday expansion. Sure playing it as your drop at turn 7 doesn't seem to be the best choice, but it really is!

The only time I will not play it on turn 7 is, when the Opponent has lethal on the board.

I Appreciate your time and have a good day! :)

Hey Guys, I just saw a variant of this architype yesterday and immediately thought about adding the new Mage legendary Lunas Pocket Galaxy.

It works out just as I thought. strong early game with an unbeatable Endgame.

Good against:

Shudderwock Shaman

Odd Paladin

Mech Warrior

Mecha Thun Decks

Cube Lock

Weak against:

Other Control Decks

Mech Bomb Hunter

Heal Zoo

If you consider using this deck, here is how it works:

Start of the Game. you dont need a 1 drop because you of course got the quest in hand. I would recommend opting for a Leyline Manipulator and Lunas Pocket Galaxy as your starting hand.

If you go second, a Shimmering Tempest or a Ghastly Conjurer are your way to go.

Playstyle:

In the early game you just want to control the board and clear any high threats played by your opponent. The key word in this deck is Value, you want to make sure that every card you play has a purpose. Preferably you want to opt for your quest, that means playing cards that will give you a random spell to your hand.  Once you played like 4 or 5 random spells, you can set it aside and ignore the quest for now! Literally THE most important thing in this deck is your Pocket Galaxy. You ALWAYS want to play it on turn 7 no matter what. In the following turns the best choice will be your Stargazer Luna along with basically anything else.

Once you played your Pocket Galaxy and Stargazer Luna, the opponent will beg for mercy. You can just recycle your right most card in hand and fill the board with your minions which aren’t the strongest but very efficient even in the late game.

Last but not least.

Jaina ain’t necessary in this deck since you don’t rock many elemental’s, although the Lifesteal proofs itself very strong against stuff like Cube Lock.

Substitutions:

Jaina for more board clear like Meteor or Blizzard

Raven Familiar for any Elemental (only if you want to play it with Jaina!)

Vex Crow for a Bonfire Elemental or Blazecaller

Thank you so much for reading, I really appreciate it.

Note: The expansion is out for only 1 Day so a lot of cards are subject to change as we walk through the forming meta!
