Mulligans
First Deck build, and the one I have the most fun playing. I’ll edit format later
Mulligan for spellstones or librarian against all classes
vs hunter, look for hellfire, defile, stonehill into cheap taunt (beware turn 5 spellstone)
vs paladin, look for hellfire, defile, dreadlord (beware turn 5 level up, actually always beware of level up)
vs druid/priest, look for rin, zihi, (if you see twig, tap harder for ooze)
vs rogue, look for ooze, gnomeferatu (spread out your board against kingsbane)
vs warlock, assume it’s zoo, look for hellfire, defile, brewer/zilliax
vs warrior, probably the toughest opponent overall, except perfect hand aggro decks (odd pally)
The main point in this deck is to go for value whenever possible. It has lots of healing, so lifetap is your best friend when your opponent isn’t building much of a board. Fatigue is your friend, as long as you keep track of hard removals against rin, and manage card draw/deck size. Gnomeferatu also helps here.
Mid game, look for voidlord and gul’dan
Always tap before librarian, unless you already have spellstones in hand
Avoid playing demonic project with key cards in hand against each matchup. Also, it’s probably best to wait until you have your sac pact until you play demonic project
Save nether for: enemy gul’dan, mech warrior’s 3/8 untargetable magnectic, post-hadronox proc, post diamond spellstone
halt your card draw if you have 9 cards in hand, or you’ll burn one. That number goes down to 7 against druids because of naturalize. And it goes down by one if you have rin or lich king in play
If you feel your gul’dan is not resurrecting voidlords because of other demons, you can cut out dreadlord for the likes of Saronite Chain Gang. Another option is to cut out the dreadlord, one copy of voidlord and skull to include the howlfiend/treachery into defile combo, but it’s more unreliable. You could opt for the safer doomsayer and saronite chain gang route instead
