Hi there,

I’m a casual player – usually finishing  around rank 2-5.

I am a die-hard control fan, always trying the greediest decks out there (making them even more greedy).

This List is a elemental Arugal mage – focusing on getting huge value form extra elemental cards/drawing while getting extra spells from ruby spellstones.

Apart from the obvious elemental synergy – this deck has a Malygos burst “element” to it (see what i did there :)) )

The idea is to get as many steam surgers as possible (with Arugal, Zola and servant of kalimos) – and discount the Flame geyser with Leyline Manipulator for a big burst Malygos finish. You can also get flame geyser form spellstone + other cheap dmg spells like frost bolt (witch can have their cost reduced by Leyline as well) – the combo is not a OTK per se, because your deck dosen’t have 100% guarantee for 4 Flame geyser’s, but there are many, many chances for that as stated above.

The burst element is only one aspect of the deck – witch is very versatile.

You have a lot of value generators – like Arugal and book of spectre, Pyros and Toki – all cards having their cost reduced by Leyline Manipulator.

The deck has no build in AOE, but the idea is to control the board with the myriad of elementals + having 4 hard removal option in the form of – 2x voodoo doll and 2x polymorph. Plus you can draw AOE from the spell generator cards – like spellstone and shimmering tempest. Another late game bomb is the Jaina DK of course – helping with healing and endless stream of water elemenals.

Another notable combo is book of spectre and mountain giant – witch enables you to play giant on turn 3-4.

Against some classes you can coin arugal on 1 and book on 2 – the possibilities are endless.

I understand that the way I’m putting it – the deck sounds unbeatable – I assure you it is not. The major flaw of the deck is – it is veeery slow!

You can tinker with many cards – tempest, zola, pyros and toki are not mandatory – they just give a lot of value (and are very fun to play with). You can also try some extra spells – weapon destruction or build in AOE, depending on the meta you are facing or your own preference. (just keep in mind, if you are taking out a lot of elemental’s – you can damage your spellstone and other elemental activation synergy. The list, as i have build it – almost guarantees a never ending supply of elemental’s – turn for turn).

I hope you try this deck out and have as much fun as i am having with this control value-machine plus the Malygos burst witch no one is playing around or expecting. Be sure to leave a +1 if you enjoy the deck 🙂

PS:comment me for additional questions – I will try to answer reliably.

Since there are no damage spells, isn’t Malygos kind of inconsistent?
