Golden Packs Bundle - Get 6x Golden Classic Pack for $15 - Available Until May 26
His comment is not wrong, the original comment was talking about a guaranteed Epic, which is 1 per 10 packs. On average, Epics shows up once in 5 packs, but that’s average, not guaranteed – like you’ve said, it depends on personal luck.
17.2.1 Balance Update is now Live!
I don’t believe there is, but I’ve heard that people were asking about it for a while now. So we might get it in 5 years or so ๐
Hearthstone Battlegrounds Heroes Tier List & Guide - Best Available Heroes & Strategies - August 2023
Tier list was just updated! ๐
17.2.1 Balance Update is now Live!
Hard to say, I think that Galakrond Rogue will still be good. Now the question is whether Stealth package won’t become better than Secret package. We’ll probably see in a few days ๐
17.2.1 Balance Update Coming May 18 - 8 Card Nerfs (Priestess of Fury, Hanar, Bloodboil Brute) + 4 Buffs (Shaman & Paladin)
I’m not so sure anymore. Enrage Warrior was already taking over as a #1 deck. Now with Sigil Runner being a 1/1 (so less early game pressure) and Priestess of Fury being so much easier easier to clear (the fact that a 5 attack minion can now kill her is big)… I think that DH might finally be where it should have been at the start with those nerfs.
17.2.1 Balance Update Coming May 18 - 8 Card Nerfs (Priestess of Fury, Hanar, Bloodboil Brute) + 4 Buffs (Shaman & Paladin)
Disenchanted cards count as owned for the sake of duplicate protection. So it doesn’t work.
Don’t try to game the system ๐
Best Hearthstone Decks - Standard Meta Tier List - Whizbang's Workshop (April 2024)
Yeah, you can’t get the info, because Blizzard didn’t share it and no one really knows. I’m pretty sure it’s not so much a specific position, but rather top X% of players (maybe 10-20%). The number of players in Legend vary between servers and seasons, so a fixed number wouldn’t be the best idea.
Ashes of Outland Story (Solo Adventure) Launches In ~5 Weeks (Mid-June)
Yeah, that sounds about right. If I remember correctly, he’s checking it by changing the date on his PC and trying to fool the client. When the adventure “opens”, that’s the date it’s programmed to open. The only thing that chan change here is Blizzard moving the date for some reason, and since they usually have those things planned well in advance, it’s probably not going to happen.
It’s different than leaks like some random person with no real credence posting a card from new expansion – those usually turn out to be fake.
I still prefer to wait for official confirmation or “leaks” that come directly from Blizzard (like when they post something too early… yeah, that’s basically confirmed, some social media guy just pushed the button too early :p).
Patch 17.2 Coming Tomorrow - 3 Battlegrounds Heroes, One Minions, Deck Ordering Feature (Update: OUT NOW!)
I created a separate post for it, but I guess that I’ll add it here too ๐
Patch 17.2 Coming Tomorrow - 3 Battlegrounds Heroes, One Minions, Deck Ordering Feature (Update: OUT NOW!)
Yeah, I don’t think that we’ll lose anything this time. They’ve been slowly expanding the number of Heroes for a while now.
Patch 17.2 Coming Tomorrow - 3 Battlegrounds Heroes, One Minions, Deck Ordering Feature (Update: OUT NOW!)
Yep, they said that it’s a bug right after the season ended. Duplicate protection didn’t work on those, and people were notoriously getting multiple copies of the same card. I think that the issue was fixed and it should be fine when May season ends ๐
Galakrond Priest - #1 Legend (Zananananan) - Ashes of Outland
Not exactly – other players like NoHandsGamer or NAGON have played Galakrond Priest earlier in the expansion, before TicTac. But most of the “modern” builds are based on TicTac’s version, since it was working best.
Still, it’s a bit different than TicTac’s build (which we’ve also featured earlier) ๐
Top Standard Legend Decks From Ashes of Outland - Week 5 - May 2020
I’ve been getting the same question a lot lately, but I’m afraid that we haven’t heard anything about it yet. Galakrond’s Awakening came out ~1.5 months after Descent of Dragons, so line, we should get it some time next week. If not, I’m pretty sure that it should come out early next month, they definitely won’t want to delay it too much.
Either way, I expect to see some news about it soon. They probably won’t just release it out of nowhere ๐
Upcoming New Game Mode from Phase 2 - Will We Get A Rotating Format?
So something like Brawliseum?
Upcoming New Game Mode from Phase 2 - Will We Get A Rotating Format?
Definitely, there is an adventure coming, but it wasn’t announced yet. But we should hear more about it soon. They definitely won’t release it too late, so my guess is that it will drop in a month or so.
Upcoming New Game Mode from Phase 2 - Will We Get A Rotating Format?
I’ve been asking for custom games for YEARS, but I don’t think we’ll get them this time around. But, of course, I would like to be surprised ๐
And yeah, I think that BG will get a full release eventually, but this is supposed to be a new mode.
Upcoming New Game Mode from Phase 2 - Will We Get A Rotating Format?
Well yes, but no. For example, you can’t make a rule that every card costs 1 mana less, or let’s say that every minions has double health, while you COULD do it in the custom games.
You can make up custom rules, but you still have to work within regular game mechanics.
Murloc Paladin Deck List & Guide - Ashes of Outland - May 2020
I wouldn’t say “required”, but it helps A LOT. 5 mana 5/6 is already decent, so hitting even 1-2 Murlocs makes it great.
You can play without him at the start, but if you want the full experience, you should get it (and depending on what other decks you play, the adventure offers a lot more value – e.g. if need it to play Tempo Warrior and it improves Dragon Hunter / Highlander Mage by a lot).
Hearthstone Legendaries You Can "Safely" Disenchant - Ashes of Outland - May 2020
That’s what I thought! Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll add them soon!
I agree, but that wasn’t exactly what I meant. I was talking about their plans before expansion – out of the two, it was better (for the devs) to overdo it a bit than to make it unplayable. They definitely aimed to make Demon Hunter Tier 1 or at least high Tier 2 – it only made sense for a new class to be playable on the highest level, so everyone can enjoy it. But they overdid it by a lot. If it started on the power level it had after 2nd nerf patch, it wouldn’t be a problem.
They definitely do test new stuff internally, but the thing is that you can’t really do it that well. Even if a group of 20 people play with the new cards for a few weeks, they won’t form a real meta, they won’t discover every viable strategy and so on. Players can do more in a few hours than devs can do in weeks of playtesting. They would need a PTR to really balance things out. But the problem with PTR is that we would have a solved meta on expansion’s release, which also wouldn’t be very fun.
But in case of Demon Hunter, I actually don’t know how it slipped through the cracks. Usually when something is released too strong, it’s a bit too strong. Like 1-2 card changes and it’s back in line. But in case of Demon Hunter, the class was so absurdly strong that I can’t imagine how they missed it. My best guess is that they focused on other archetypes like Token or Big Demons, which weren’t really that powerful, and somehow ignored the insane Tempo/Aggro build.
