Exactly – I never said this type was going to be good on ladder soup & salad. No one can really know. However, it’s quite obvious that’s where Blizzard is pushing the Rogue class – (towards the thief archetype). Just as they are pushing Mage towards the spell-less archetype (most likely – elemental).

Yeeeeah… I’m not sure about this card. The mage class has been hit hard by rotations and is actually the class with the FEWEST total cards. Perhaps, THIS “rogue DK-type” mechanic might help… Perhaps I’m being short-sighted but I think an Arugal/Specter deck is just going to lead to a lot of bland spiteful decks… Spiteful for some reason is my least favorite archetype – and elementals are even more boring – for some reason I just find it boring. In MY opinion. Personally I’ve played too many fire flys turn 1 for a lifetime. I think I’ll jump ship for Rogue this expansion. That way I’ll be able to have variety in all my games. For me, fun is #1 priority.

Also how does Mage stay alive without ice block? That’s a huge loss. I don’t think they’re going to have the luxury to play a card like Toki or anything like that. Maybe they run book of spectres with this? They’ll need a lot of taunt minions I guess.

I was a little surprised by that too, then again – Hunter got 2 (even) legendaries; Warrior got 2 (odds). All the other classes have even/odd. I assume they made the decision based on the current class options. I honestly never play mage so I can’t really be a judge of how good this card is.

Is this card good? I can’t tell. Does Mage have alot of good minions you’d want double of?

This is good for the new thief type that will emerge but you would actually want Face Collector for mirror matches. Maybe as a tech if you’re seeing a lot of Rogues on ladder.

What about Face Collector – same thing but gives a legendary right? I believe Lillian Voss is the card to play instead, correct? You want as many other class cards played before summoning Tess Greymane I suppose. Anyway, I can’t wait to fool around with rogue – this looks like a very powerful new archetype for Rogue.

Yes, it would be considered a “Rush” card. You just have to draw it over another one in your deck.

GeekCulture.co really fumbled this reveal vid. Would it have been too much trouble to include some combo plays? I can think of a few cards you could use this with: Lynessa, Bolvar, Pally 4 drop weapon, Dollmaster Dorian, Paladin legendary weapon…. You don’t really get a sense of what you could do with this card going by this video. A little lackluster, sure. It’s average. Most of the legendaries in TWW have largely been memes except for our overlord warlocks – so I’m even more intrigued than ever to know what the other epic/legendary the paladin class will get this expansion.

Yes, this is a Meme card. As a rule, if the card has the word “random” or “Legendary” on it, it’s not going to be great.

Blizzard is trying to make the game more FUN for casual players with these kinds of cards. Meme decks are FUN to watch on Twitch.

Blizzard makes a profit on people streaming Hearthstone just as any other product generates ROI on having billboards. Streamers are virtually just billboards for videogames, meaning they provide exposure for the game. Which, in turn, leads to more sales.

Simply put, “fun and interactive” cards (i.e. all the Meme/Rush cards we’re getting) are GOOD FOR THE BOTTOM LINE.

Yeah, I just realized … an even cost deck wouldn’t really make sense here. The Rogue hero power at 1 mana is actually pretty useless…. LUL

Can any shaman spells go face? If not, playing by the time you play this minion it might be too late. Could always try to evolve it into something better I suppose. I think 4/8 Primordial drake is much better. At least that has taunt and has an immediate effect. Lastly, I think playing this in a deck that has Hagatha is waaaaay too greedy.

By milling the Shaman class you’d be doing them a favor – saving them from playing pure RNG spells.
