Agreed. Omega is dissappointing so far. Maybe the epic 2/6 taunt and even that isn’t great.

@dukestarswisher I guess you are liking combo decks (correct me if I’m wrong) and that’s ok. I would like to have a way to counter it reliably with control decks. I think a 5 mana 2/2 is slow enough to make it shitty against any other type of deck than full combo.

I’ll guess mech warrior will be a heavy midrange deck and will play both hero cards. Scourgelord weapon is not only a control option, but also high tempo (+reach). Mad genius is lacking that immediate tempo, but can regain it through rush over time. Still, it is a slight problem I see here.

It’s just a good follow up to common tempo mage turn 2/3 plays (Apprentice/Kirin Tor) what makes it playable in my opinion.

I suggested a card that is slow tempo and Discover has still RnG. So there is that.
Control decks can’t win anything right know, so there has to be a reliable way to counter. Maybe pay 5 for it, I’m not a game designer. But make it discover. I hold on to that. In other card games, you can even decide which card to discard.

Yap, exactly, have you seen how greedy the meta has become? We need solid anti-combo tech.

Card is obviously great. The most powerful strat for it I see in standard right know are Faldorei Strider/Shadowstep and this card – Shenangigans. What do you think?

The card is worth more than a 3 star rating. I definitely see it being played in faster mage decks.

Random minion into random demon, zero tempo -> unreliable tech card, not good on ladder.
What I would have liked: Neutral, 4 Mana, 2/2, Battlecry: Discover a card in your opponents hand, discard it.

No problem, Drakkaris already seemed very important for the deck when looking at it. I’m going to try it with 1 Baleful Banker first, and in a few days I’ll probably have the Dust for the second copy. It’s from the new set and far away from useless in other potential decks anyway 😉

Looks like a lot of fun and can certainly win one or the other matchup.
I would have to craft both Drakkaris and one Baleful… good, that there is this dust for quests event right know. Do you think I would get away with one Baleful Banker? Drakkaris seem important to me, curving into the Forest Guide. Would be nice, if you can say a few things to the importance of those two cards.

Chromie is inane. Drafted her into a controllish Mid-Shaman and coined her on Turn 5 together with a Murmuring Elemental from a Blazing Invocation in my second game. My opponents deck wasn’t bad at all, but still: Pew Pew

I’m 10 -3 fom R. 5 -3 right know. Meta is unrefined and the deck has surprise factor obviously, but still, the list is no joke.

I don’t know what to say else than it’s a blast to play and I didn’t think it is that good.
You know it’s not a meme, if you first outcontrol a Murloc Paladin, then a Spell Hunter, and top it off with a W against a Big Spell Mage in fatigue in one of my longest games ever. (We both drew DK very late, I shuffled 3 Raptor Hatchling/Stoneskin Basilisk – Zombeasts with Dire Frenzy)
