So, BG ranking is actually the players’ MMR?

That might be a dumb question, but I always thought that my rank is that (for personal orientation) and my MMR is some dubious hidden score that decides against which players I’m paired.

Like on the ladder, where Diamond 2 might be my rank, but not my MMR, right!?

This ‘event’ is an unbelivable rip-off and will cost Blizzard many players.

I’m baffled by their decisionmaking when it comes to ‘making the player base happy’. It almost feels like they desperately try to kill the game (fearfully looking at that battle pass reward system thingy).

Besides that, this ‘event’ happening right now is very disappointing. Hero skin could’ve (must have!?) been the reward for playing the Solo Adventure imho. And just 1 pack for playing it? I know it’s free content, but still. I have a nagging feeling that some years back in time, you would’ve gotten the Jaina Bundle for free after beating all 8 dungeon ‘bosses’.

I understand how you could make it happen, but such ‘X cards that need to be drawn in the right order’ thingys never work for me. All I do is draw both Fateweavers within the first 7 turns and get run over by some aggro deck.

Got golden Major Noggenfogger for the f***ing 3rd time … dusted it twice in the past, will keep it now. Don’t mess with destiny, I guess!?

I’ll never understand high legend lists … 2 Fateweavers with only 2 Disciples as activators? Would never work for me … No Shadow Word: Pain even though there are 2 Waves? Yeah, I get the ‘combo’ with the Acolytes but still.

PS: Sidenote is that you can play this with Sylvanas on turn 10 for a decent board swing (Spiritsinger Umbra might be better, though 😉 ).

What really bothers me is the psychological aspect… on one side, you’re ‘afraid’ of losing, on the other you HAVE to play to climb out of the dumbster. It makes me feel uncomfortable and I have to tell myself time and time again that it is only a game…

Fact is, I think to myself that it would’ve been better for me to not have played more since I hit Wild Legend on the 2nd of June – started off at 160, fell to 1.300 (tried some decks and had bad luck with others). Now I’m at 940 with the same ‘gridlocked’ feeling you describe.

I got the 11x star bonus on the Wild ladder this month although I only finished Diamond 3 in May … in April, I got to 517 legend (again, Wild) but ‘only’ got a 10x star bonus in May.

So all in all, how you get the 11x star bonus seems very random to me (in Wild at least). Well, I guess I’ll have to wait what happens in July. 😉

What do you mean by ‘quit out of your game during the combat stage…’? Is there a way to quit combat without completely quiting the lobby you’re playing in?
