Today is the Nozdormu Day! Players are getting a new “Monthly” Quest (it’s really a Daily that you get once a month) that asks them to play 3 games with Nozdormu the Eternal in their deck. The reward is 1500 XP, so it’s definitely worth finishing it.
Heres are the few important things about the Nozdormu Day Quest:
- The Quest is added to your log as your Daily Quest on the 15th of each month. It means that Asia region is getting it first, then Europe, and finally Americas.
- In order to finish it, you need to play 3 games with Nozdormu the Eternal in your deck. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, but conceding early doesn’t count.
- The Quest can be completed in Casual format too if you prefer.
- You don’t have to encounter “Blitz” (15 seconds) matchups to get a finish the Quest. If you play 3 games and none of your opponents has Nozdormu in their deck – that’s also fine, you will still complete it.
- If you really don’t want to play games with Nozdormu, you can just reroll the Quest. But keep in mind that you will most likely reroll it into a 1000 XP Quest, so you’re technically losing 500 XP that way.
Nozdormu Day Decks – June 15, 2023
Of course, you can just add Nozdormu to any deck and still get Quest completions. You don’t need to win your games, so in theory, you can even start a match and go AFK until your opponent kills you. But it’s pretty clear that some builds are better than others when it comes to finishing it.
Decks that work well with Nozdormu are mostly straightforward decks with not a lot of decision-making. You have to think through your turns quickly, so having a clear best thing to do on each turn is good. Decks that curve out well are good, because you don’t have to think much about what you’re going to play, but only about your trades etc. On the other hand, slower decks with more card draw are more likely to not feel the presence of a “dead weigh” in a form of Nozdormu as much – if you draw him in Aggro early game, you’re heavily impaired for the rest of the match. You also get extra points for using it for the Dragon synergy – normally it’s just an 8/8 body, but e.g. if you run some card that synergizes with Dragons, it can get some extra value.
Decks that don’t work well with Nozdormu include ones that play lots of cards during a single turn. For example, a deck with some elaborate combo that takes playing 10 different cards probably won’t work, you might not have enough time to pull it off – sometimes animations are really long! Similarly, decks that generate a lot of extra resources aren’t perfect, especially those with Discover options. It gives you a lot more to think about and each randomly generated card can alter your plan, so it’s hard to think ahead. But they are still playable if you are quick enough.

Sorry to hear that. Do you play it soon after the Quest is out or later in the day? Because I usually queue Noz games shortly after midnight, in Casual, and find 1-2 Noz matchups. They’re pretty fun to play to be honest (if not for the fact that HS animation timers aren’t exactly suited for 15 second turns).
But I imagine that later in the day nearly no one plays him anymore.
You won’t meet him in ranked for obvious reasons, but on the 15th of each month, he’s quite present all day in casual.
Guessing most everyone just re-rolls the quest as never came across anyone else with Nozdormu the Eternal in their deck.. I just took a less than favorable card out of my Pirate Warrior deck and replaced with Nozdormu the Eterna. Easy 1800 XP.
I’m gonna said that we are almost at the rotation and I never faced someone that have Nozdormu in the deck…
Really? Sorry to hear that. I usually finish those Quests like 1-2h after dailies are added and face 1-2 Nozdormu matchups every time (in Casual). I think that the later you try to finish Nozdromu Day quest, the lower your chance to find a Nozdormu matchup. After someone finishes the Quest, they usually no longer play a Nozdormu deck.
i just won a quest with him (and my opponent had him too) game was not counted for the quest. yes i had him in my deck, i finished my opponent with nozdormu.
Did you play it in casual? Casual is bugged right now and doesn’t give any Quest progress at all. I had to finish it in ranked :p
Strange, I was playing casual and it worked fine.

Is it just me who didn’t get a nozdormu quest yesterday?
Still no blitz games :/ , i used a seedlock with nozdormu + durgan + pandaren importer + banker for extra throphy and i managed to win anyway (of course i loss against a better seedlock).
Used the Rush Warrior list and got at least 1 game 🙂
Had a good time still playing Noz from hand in the non-blitz games and hitting face with it!
I created an account just to say thank you for the Demon Hunter deck. I had to craft a bunch of cards and even disenchant a few for the dust (lol) but I killed it with that deck! I won 5 out of 5 games, including the one where I played someone who also had Nozdormu in their deck, and completed the quest. I appreciate it!!
put him in the DDH deck. got destroyed by 2 no minion mages back to back. maybe someday ill get a blitz game.

Surprise surprise no one was running the old Nozster in ranked. Ah well at the top of the bracket so didn’t really matter and actually won one game which a hamstrung rally deck
They don’t even use the Daily Legendary Slot for this.
Okay sure, some people still haven’t cleared previous quest from Festival.
But I still wondering when they gonna use the Weekly Legendary Slot.
It never been used like forever.

It is with XP boost from Tavern Pass, bu the base XP is 1500 🙂
It seems it is just normal daily quest, not extra one and it can be re-rolled.
The question is – do I need to finish it today or can I leave it and do tomorrow etc.?
They just need to promote Nozdormu at 15th, but Nozdormu itself can be played everyday.
So it’s very unlikely to dissapear. I’m 100% sure. Unless devs told us about it directly.

Sorry about misinformation then, I relied on other sources when I was writing it and when Quests first appeared in Asia I’ve read somewhere that it’s an extra one.
But I fixed it. It’s a shame, I hoped it will be an extra Quest.
