The Omelette Priest – Boomsday Theorycraft

Welcome in Eggstone !

As soon as all cards of the Boomsday Project have been revealed, I entered in an intense deckbuilding step, trying to figure an effective and original way to use these new cards. Then, one Priest’s card gained my attention and I started building a deck around the Devilsaur Egg. At ended up with this list I’m gonna explain to you.

Gameplay

Like the Deathrattle Hunter which has some success on the ladder today, the goal is to quickly flood the board with 5/5 Devilsaurs. But instead of triggering the deathrattle of one egg multiple times, with this take we’ll make copies of the egg (with Mirage Caller, Twilight's Call or Vivid Nightmare) we can easily kill with aoe or with trades.

To kill the original 0/3 eggs, we can use Inner Fire and Carnivorous Cube, but the Boomsday Project brings us two brand new cards :

• Reckless Experimenter : Truly one of the key card of the deck, it allows us to play our eggs for free and the cubes for only 2 manas, and it comes with a strong 4/6 body.
• Topsy Turvy : This versatile tool is a strong addition to the card pool of the Priest. We can use it on our eggs to activate them, but also on annoying enemy taunts or cards like Doomsayer or Mana Tide Totem. It can also be used with the cubes and the pyromancers.

The rest of the deck includes draw cards like the new Dead Ringer and value cards. Spiritsinger Umbra can be very strong if the opponent can’t shut it down while Lyra the Sunshard offers a ton of value when we start recycling our spells.

Conclusion

This deck still need to be tested, as its theorycraft, but I think it might be surprisingly performing. If this deck shows a real potential during the first days of the new meta, I’ll keep this list up to date and optimize the mulligan guide.
