Mulligans
General Mulligans
I’m not super sure about the mulligans, that’s always been the weaker parts of my game, but I think getting early minions to contest the board and use their effects to draw cards is generally what you want to do and dropping Reckless to pull off whatever shenanigans is typically pretty powerful. Reckless allows you to pull of the decks strongest plays. For example, if you play Reckless on five, it generally sticks and if it does you can do things on six like 3 mana Whelp, Embalming Ritual into Shadowy Figure to create two Whelps and two 7/7’s at the end of turn. If you have early minions Psychopomp can help you keep the board and either keep drawing if you resurrect a Cleric or Loot Hoarder or give you a target for a discounted Snip-Snap if you can hit Mecharoo or Dead Ringer.
Aggro Mulligans
Against Aggro mostly you want to get things to contest the board. If you can hit one drops for Carpet that can help you swing the game and if you get Reckless Experimenter down then Carpet often puts in work with cards like Loot Hoarder. I find it is best to out value Aggro, which you can do with Embalming Ritual especially if you play it on a deathrattle minion and then copy that minion with Shadowy Figure. That really helps with trading into their stuff. And Embalming on a Whelp is great. Trading develops you 7/7’s, they lose their minions and since the Whelp had reborn you can do it again. Dead Ringer is really important to help you find your Whelps. Bone Wraith also is nice if you have some plays before four as it just eats up their board. Zilliax and Infiltrator are terrific against Aggro, but they might be too expensive to keep.
