Ideally Turn 1 Quest into two 1 cost cards into a 3-drop.Everytime a new expansion hits, you hear about the lack of draw mechanic for Hunter. This of course, is hardly an issue for an Aggro deck, especially with Baku the Mooneater upgrading Hero Power to deal 3 damage. Although it’s quite impossible to predict what meta will look like, i believe an aggressive deck like this could work.
The objective is, naturally, to kill your opponent as quickly as possible. Getting a lot of cheap minions on the board together, can often be a problem for control type decks. Pressure your opponent with Marsh Drake, and once the quest is finished create some more pressure with Queen Carnassa and Carnassa's Brood and outplay your opponent with your upgraded hero power.
Few points to make:
– 1-drops: there are six one cost minions in the deck Argent Squire, Fire Fly and Leper Gnome. Then, there are Igneous Elemental and Ravencaller that create two 1-drops each.
– I think Marsh Drake is very well comparable to pre-nerf corridor creeper, even better when you have cheap minions or Candleshot to trade the 2/1 it spawns for your opponent
– Even though Tundra Rhino and Baku the Mooneater are the only beasts in the deck, i think the theoretical Rhino + Raptors combo is still too strong to ignore.
– Cards probably worth consider:
Ironbeak Owl for silence
Voodoo Doll with Elven Archer altough 2x Hunter's Mark is probably enough removal.
Glacial Shard for additional 1-drop and freeze
and in case of Murloc meta (here’s to hope it will be shaman this time, because i’m so tired of Murloc Paladin) Hungry Crab
Needless to say, I absolutely love this time of the season, theorycrafting and all. I’m not a pro-player, but i always look to try some decks of my own, and i think this one has quite the potential.
