I put this deck together a couple days ago and have had pretty good success with it, the idea behind this deck is try and out last your opponent whilst playing your death rattle minions before turn 10 and dropping N’zoth or C’thun on turn 10 to seal the game up. Reno is there to help alongside shadow caster and shadowstep to draw an extra copy of reno and help insure you make it to your N’zoth turn.

Ideally you want to Mulligan for Journey Below, Deadly Poison, Backstab, and Reno Jackson (If your other cards will curve out alright AND you think you might be up against aggro) or your C’thun buff cards such as Beconer of Evil (or a mix of both) to help seal up the early game and get your C’thun buffed to 10 attack before turn 7. With Journey Below you’re looking for any death rattle minion to fill out your curve better. I usually pick Anub’arak or another Xaril as the class cards come up very often. Jeweled Scarab is another great card to Mulligan for as there are really good rogue 3 drops to choose from situationally. Against shaman, be sure and try to keep a sap in your hand for their 4 mana 7\7 and also try and keep the board as empty as possible on their side to try and play around evolve. Another reason I chose perdition’s blade over si:7 agent so you can keep their totem count and tuskar totemics in check. Alot of people are playing that deck and this deck is pretty good against it.

Once C’thun is buffed to 10 attack, playing Twin Emperor Vek’lor is one of the strongest turn 7 plays you can make, usually bringing you back if you lost board control or overwhelming your opponent entirely.

The deck runs pretty smooth and without much card draw. To make up for this we added Polluted Hoarder (great deathrattle minion that fits the decks needs), Thistle Tea, and Xaril, Poisoned Mind. Xaril keeps your cards flowing allowing you one of the new poisons when he’s summoned and another when he dies. Also another good target for raptor synergy.

Looking at the deck list you can see there’s many possibilities and different ways to play this really fun deck. At one point I Thistle Tea’d 3 copies of shadow caster making 2 copy’s of reno and using the other to constantly make copies of itself filling the board with an unending supply of 1/1’s that only cost 1.

Finnaly there’s C’thun! Hes mainly here to make the Twin Emperor great and to also make our other removal “C’thuns Blade” more viable, hes also just a great turn 10.

Shadowstep usage:

Shadowstep fits amazingly into the deck and can be used early as tempo swings with cards like Deciple of C’thun for a sick 4 damage to the board and +4 +4 to your C’thun. You can also use it with Jeweled Scarab early on to get an extra 3 drop such as Shadow Strike, Fan of Knives, Perdition’s Blade, si:7 agent etc.. Alternatively you can save it for Mid game and use it on Shadow Caster or Reno for some serious Value. Then of course if you draw it in the late game you can use it on C’thuns Blade for some more hard removal and buffs towards your C’thune or Twin Emperor for another 4\6 taunt. Lastly you can combine it with C’thun and N’zoth for some serious destruction and rage quits.

Other Card Options:

Originnaly I was running si:7 agent in place of perdition’s blade but decided to change because we have a reno at our backs and perdition’s blade is potentially 4 dmg from hand that can be spread on two enemys or one big one making it a better option in my opinion.

Another option I tried was “Twighlight Summoner” which seemed reasonable but felt like it was lacking when it came to killing a minion on the follow up turn. I replaced it with Southsea Squidface and feel that the extra 2 weapon damage comes in handy and makes a bigger impact on the board for our style of play.

I chose Thistle Tea over Sprint because I felt with the way the card flow was working that it wasn’t completely necessary. Thistle Tea works well as it adds 3 of whatever you draw to your hand and just about anything in this deck is an amazing card to have more copys of. Usually save preparation for Thistle Tea, but prep can be used situationally.

I’ve also wanted to add an assassin’s blade but can’t decide on anything to take out for it. As is, the deck is running pretty well against everything.

Pretty small sample size but against aggro I’ve won 7 out of 9 and against other cthune or control type decks I’ve won about 19 out of 24. Right now tempo mage with a good draw seems to be a struggle but other than that the deck is pretty solid.  If you guys have any ideas for this please share! Enjoy and have fun!!

Update: 4-29-16

Decided to replace Shiv with Shadowstep, Shadowstep has amazing synergy with a lot of the cards in the list. If you still prefer Shiv over Shadowstep, I would reccomend replacing jeweled scarab with Bloodmage Thalnos also. Currently I still feel like jeweled scarab pulls amazing situational cards and fits perfectly into the deck.

This deck has 14 spells (maybe 17 if thistle tea copy a spell and undercity huckster give you a spell) sooo i’m thinking about put in Yogg-Saron. What should i cut for him? (He would be awsome fun and a situational comeback mechanic)

this deck is pretty terrible. i have played 20 hands with it. won 4 out of 20…… It is great when RNG is completely on your side….. and thats about it… the likelihood of drawing the cards to get your Cthun to 10/10 is pretty low. You basically have to waste the cards that copy cards on your cthun cards just to get it to 10/10 in order to use the emperor taunt…. very hard to get to 10 mana using this deck even with reno…. and as soon as you throw out reno it is instantly destroyed or you don’t have the right card to copy it or return it to your deck at that point. its just…. not a good deck I do not recommend this at all. and OUT OF 20 Hands only once did I even see Nzul . so the death rattle cards in my opinion are just useless. this deck needs to be remade to get rid of the Deathrattle aspect….. i never once got to even see nzul….. so again.. pointless. One time I got lucky on a nettle tea and got three Cthun…. but if he didn’t have shit rng the last 3 turns I would have lost before getting to play them…

This deck isn’t easy to play by any means, but in the right hands it’s very successful. Sorry you havnt had much luck.

Just tried this. I don’t have Xaril yet, so I swapped in Cairn. Looks pretty fun and decently competitive.

I think what this deck really need is some more AoE, Flood Zoo is quit strong right now I think, and as I played against this aggressive version of Zoo I got mostly overran
I think you can definetly put in one Fan and cut out a Loothorder

Yeah, fans always been there. I was recently using carne bloodhoof in place of Squidface, but since reset now that I’m back into the lower bracket I’ve been making small adjustments here and there to deal with aggro.

If you can fit him in there nicely, go for it. I tried brann and never got much out of him with this deck.

-2 Undercity Huckster, added Edwin VanCleef and Shadowstep.

Perdition’s Blade and Twilight Elder seem more useful in the deck than the Hucksters to me.

-1 Undercity Huckster and -1 Blade of C’thun I meant

I would feel too pressured to blow my hand with van cleef and would be super upset if he caught a silence or a poly or something. As for blade of cthun hes more so for hard removal with the nice C’thune buff and body to boot.

I still prefer huckster as he gains you early card advantage and usually gives you a decent card.

I replaced perditions blade with shadowstep. Crazy synergy with late game minions like cthun
    Blade of cthun
    Nzoth and reno

I just tried shadowstep in place of twighlight elder, the synergy is amazing with jeweled scarab and shadow caster as well. I usually don’t get two turns of twighlight elder anyway so he’s usually just a 3\4 body. I’m still partial to perdition’s blade and its ability to maintain that early control. But I love the idea of shadowstep. I think I’m gonna update the list after some more games trying it out.
