This card would be great if hs had a sideboard.
It draws you cards while adding very little to the fatigue race that has become more relevant to control mirror matches.
The problem is that in control decks you need to play a variety of answers to a variety of threats.
Si7 agent is a great card against aggressive decks but a pretty bad late game card vs a renolock.
Whereas with a sprint, you’re almost certain to get a useful card, but with this you’re gambling.

Agree. It’s worth to mention that also its easy to detect wich card are tripled. Especially with decktracker software…

this will definitely only work in a very, VERY control – ish rogue for a couple of reasons.

First off, for one more mana you can play sprint, which draws you 4 cards and gives you a near 100% chance to get a valuable card. In control decks, more so than in combo/tempo decks, every card you run in the deck will have value if duplicated. ie, you always wish you had more board clears/removal spells in your deck. 3 vanishes? Great. 3 eviscerates? Amazing. But if you’re playing a tempo deck and suddenly you have three two drops in your hand on turn 7 which you spent your whole turn to get, you’re not going to have that same kind of value.

Second, the appeal of duplicating a single drawn card over simply drawing several cards is that you get more answers for multiple threats without putting yourself into fatigue any further than you need to. Again, this is insignificant in tempo decks because if the game goes to fatigue and your opponent isn’t dead, you pretty much lose.

I have been theorizing a very control heavy rogue utilizing vanishes and strong taunt minions to control the board and using C’thun as a finisher, and I can actually see this card becoming very valuable in decks similar to it in structure. Any card in that deck being duplicated would bring massive value, and it would give card advantage without pulling yourself deep into fatigue as sprint does.

In my overall opinion, this card is like the control version of sprint. It gives rogues the option to fill up their hand without sprint or gadgetzan. While not as universally useful as the raw power of drawing four cards from your deck, it certainly has a niche and is far from inconsistent in the places it belongs.

As far as arena goes, this card is utter garbage. If it’s between this, hobgoblin, and poisoned blade, then it might, MIGHT be the right choice. Other than that try to avoid it at any cost.

My bad thought this was epic. Still bad in arena tho.

Seems like a value card but its huge tempo loss on the other side.

Defenitely below average as arena card.

Could be played in some really havey late fatique decks, with something like Anub’Arak, Burgle, Unearthed Raptor(Cairne Bloodhoof +Silvanas) + Cult Apothecary for some Heal

It’s going to be fun watching Yogg-Saron forbidden shape a Millhouse Manastorm, gang up on it, and then draw you three more.

    THISTLE TEEEEEEEEEEEEEA

Playing as a rogue’s opponent, you always imagine the worst case (3x eviscerate, 3x poison, etc).
So, in addition, this card has a psychological effect on the opponent.
    4 stars for me.

If you play this while having a Chromaggus on the bord will you get 6 copies of the card? Or 4 since only 1 is a draw and the other are copies

I think it would just be 4 because it says “add” and not draw.

This is at least a fantastic 1 of in rogue decks. In a control Rogue deck where you run a lot of high powered cards this will be quite strong. With Gang Up you can make it certain exactly what card you duplicate. Also this card is 6 mana instead of 5 like Cabalist Tome because you will only get cards you put in your deck and Rogue has Preparation. Slow card, but quite a strong one.

I can’t help but feel that this really needs to be 5 mana to be playable. Nourish draws you three cards and also has the flexibility of mana ramping. This new card only has one effect and it’s not strictly better than just drawing 3 cards from your deck anyway. For most rogue decks, it would be better to get a bunch of combo pieces like Prep, Blade Flury, and Thaurissan instead. What if you draw 3 preps and all you have in hand is like a Shiv and a Deadly Poison. As rogue, you usually want to just cycle through your entire deck anyway. It should be noted that the new mage card (Cabalist’s Tome) is also 5 mana.

I think this Card is really really good, there more you have of some cards the Stronger they get.

Seems like a fair card. Draw a random card, and get 3 copies of that for you, so is basically cabalistic tome. Getting copies of usefull cards from your deck can be powerfull.

It’s in the rogue class and doesn’t fatigue you as fast. I’m not sure if it’s strictly better or worse.

It creates card advantage with a card from your deck as well as a few artifical card draws. The cost is a bit steep and this card seems slow, however If we get a slower meta it can be playable. This card will have a few insane moments where it copies oil (in wild) and leads to an insane turn. Honestly I think card will just be played in fun decks

a 2 mana less, one time use Chromaggus, minus the body. This card seems kind of terrible, but could work well in games that last till fatigue or close.

      April 11, 2016 at 4:05 pm

It IS a slightly better Chromaggus effect with the one extra card, and Rogue probably has the highest form of deck manipulation with Gang Up – want more copies of a specific minion very badly? One of in Rogue Gang-Up Mill has a high chance if there are 6-8 copies of it in your deck.
Or if the last 6-8 cards in your deck is that card.

What happens if you draw C’thun with this card? Are the copies buffed?

    • Brownbear
      April 11, 2016 at 10:57 am

I’d assume so, because the C’thun buffs are carried by the hero rather than the C’thun card itself; so if you can get multiple C’thuns they will all be buffed.

For 1 more mana, I can draw 4 cards instead with Sprint. Let’s get ready for another week of lackluster reveals.

      April 11, 2016 at 2:22 pm

for 1 less mana you draw 3 cards but only bring yourself 1 closer to fatigue. They are used differently, don’t compare them like that.

Seems usefull if you’re in topdeck mode but feels too RNG dependant to be playable on the ladder but still … getting 3 c’thuns would be pretty dope
