Most of your card choices make sense to me for this heavy midrange recruit deck. But I can’t agree with your secret package. You want to stall out the first few turns until Spellstone and your other threats come into play. Therefore Venomstrike abd Snaketrap can’t work in this deck efficiently. Has to be Explosive and Freezing trap.
Hi, thanks for taking a look. I think your comment makes sense, the deck is definitely tending to the greedy side so aggro could be a problem. I wasn’t too focussed on secret choices since they are fairly meta dependent and can be interchanged, and i did include a single Secret Plan to help flexibility because cards like explosive trap are pretty bad in a lot of matchups. But secrets are certainly something that can be changed.
To be honest i’m not convinced a Boom-Zooka deck will be viable, seems like a lot of restrictions to try to make it work and there will still be low-roll potential, but thought i’d draft it just to see how it might look.
Ah ok, makes sense! I just like getting ideas from theorycrafts before a new expansion hits. This deck might not be completely viable, but a lot of fun!
And the longer I think about Secret Plan the more I like it. As you said, most traps tend to be good in some matchups, weak in others. The card makes more and more sense to me.
