Mulligans

General Mulligans

Vs Aggro: Keep any 1-cost Spells that come your way. Highly recommended you keep one Spellstone so that you get on the board once the cleanup work is done.

Having Secret Plan or Explosive Trap when against Zoolock is almost guaranteed win. Even if you don’t, there’s always Unleash the Hounds or Deathstalker Rexxar. The only way Zoolock could pose a threat is a turn 2 Keleseth, and so far I’m 6-1 vs Zoolock in Rank 5.

Of course, other classes do exist, and this deck generally crushes Aggro. The tough part though is against Control decks, where hitting face isn’t always the answer. Against these decks, you really need to play out Deathstalker Rexxar and be really cautious about your picks via the Hero Power.

Combo Mulligans

I’ll use this part to explain the win condition. Unleash the Hounds can be used to board clear, but also Lethal. That’s why we have Timber Wolf as a buff reserved for Unleash the Hounds. Cybertech Chip is an addition which I thought was good to help compensate the lack of card draw mechanics, especially when the deck is so dependent on Deathstalker Rexxar.

Control Mulligans

Vs Control: Highly recommend Bearshark, it can’t be taken out by Spells, and great stats. It gets even more outrageous if you can buff it with Razermaw or Houndmaster.

The Boomsday Project expansion has kicked in, and the in first day we saw many meta swings for each class. Although it’s fair to say that many classes saw considerable upgrades and meta swings, I’d say the Zoolock got the best out of it. Coming into the last few weeks of The Witchwood, Heal Zoolock stormed its way into Tier 1, and now it has added support with its Legendary Spell, the Solarium (or something like that). This deck is proven to beat Heal Zoolock consistently, and also racks up considerable results against other Aggro decks.
