Considering two Legendaries have already been revealed, it seems like it will make a lot more sense to just buy the set. I have 25 unopened packs that had just been waiting for the mini-set, but it looks like I’ll spend 2000 gold instead and get normal Darkmoon Faire cards from those.

By Combo Rogue, I of course meant the deck with Whirlkick Master that’s centered on cards with the keyword “combo”.

They’re not touching the current #1 deck in the game, that’s gonna be a huge issue: Combo Rogue is going to terrorize the meta now. ETC Warrior, Bomb Warrior, Enrage Warrior, Evolve Shaman, Pure Paladin and Libroom Paladin are also all very good and will make up a huge chunk of the new meta. I don’t think this will do anything to help the 4 absent classes get a foothold while those 4 untouched and much more powerful classes are in there way. They might just be joined by Demon Hunter and Hunter.

It’s possible to complete them in Arena without owning the card, though that will take longer.

Same English mistake as last time I mentioned it. Saying “the full Kripp’s video” amounts to saying “the video of the full Kripp”. You have ‘s, get rid of the article and place the adjective next to what it’s meant to qualify. The correct wording of what you meant is this:

“watch Kripp’s full video here”

They don’t take that long, you play best of 3s until you lose one. That usually doesn’t take long. Like I said, I play about 60 to 90 minutes per day on average and that includes Masters Qualifiers, Arena and everything else.

I’m not a Masters Qualifier either, I just play in them and everyone can. I don’t know if I count as casual at about 60 to 90 minutes of playtime per day on average, but I’m definitely not hardcore, that’s fore sure.

Forgot to mention achievements, which give XP as well (not all of them, but enough of them to matter.

You’re forgetting weekly quests, which give about as much as daily quests. If you run the maths on everything that can be gained right now, you’ll see that you’re actually getting more gold over the span of an expansion than in the old system. That’s why the whole uproar is completely absurd.

I get about 120 packs per expansion as rewards in free to enter Masters Qualifiers and I get some more in Arena, at about 10 gold each at my current winrate (i.e. the 150-gold ticket gives me on average a pack plus 140 gold). Most of my packs are not bought directly with gold but obtained in other ways, which are available to anyone who’s good enough and willing to play those modes. Of the 60 to 90 minutes per day that I play on average, the vast majority is played in those modes. I don’t get anywhere near 12 wins per day in normal play mode, I don’t play that much. I get to Legend in the first few days of the month and complete my quests but that’s about it.

It costs a lot less of your time if you’re efficient at collecting packs. I play Arena (about 6-win average) which gives me about one free pack every two hours and Masters Qualifiers, which are even more efficient. I’m F2P and I open about 300 packs per expansion, and I only play about 60 to 90 minutes per day. The game is very generous to F2P players, they just need to know how to get their packs and how to be efficient about it.

Imbalanced classes are not a bug.

You get XP in Arena as well, which is a clear improvement over the old system where you didn’t get 10 gold per 3 wins there.

In fact, “the Hearthstone progression system” (the other possible formulation I mentioned) would probably be incorrect as well because I believe it would mean “the system of Hearthstone progression” and not “the progression system in Hearthstone”, which is what you intend.

So “Hearthstone’s progression system” (no “the” before Hearthstone) is the only real correct syntax.

That’s not how English works. If you say “the Hearthstone’s progression system”, that means “progression system of the Hearthstone”. You want to say either “Hearthstone’s progression system” (no “the”) or “the Hearthstone progression system” (no ‘s), in which case “the” would refer to the progression system. But with the ‘s, any article before the noun refers to the noun, not the thing belonging to it. Of the two correct ways to formulate it, keeping the ‘s and removing “the” is the best one and sounds best.
