Best Hearthstone Decks - Standard Meta Tier List - Across the Timeways (November 2025)
Yeah, both versions are viable, and it mostly depends on the decks you face. According to HSReplay stats, faster version has higher win rate on average (at least at R10-Legend, those are the ranks I’m usually pulling stats for – it still has a big sample size, but it ignores the lower ranks where people play decks least optimally) and that’s why I’ve decided to feature that one.

Yep, thanks. Didn’t manage to invent a time machine… yet ๐
Quest Resurrect Priest Deck List Guide โ Descent 2nd Nerf โ January 2020
Zul’Drak Ritualist is a great tech vs Resurrect Priest, actually. And it’s also better than Mad Summoner against other decks, so yeah, you can totally add that if you keep facing Resurrect Priests.
The Amazing Reno
Any spell, just like Yogg etc. works.
And while it wasn’t explained precisely (like every single interaction), what I’ve gathered from dev Tweets / reddit comments is that the minion just disappears, it’s like it was never there. So their Deathrattles won’t trigger, and the minion won’t “die” (so won’t get added to Resurrect pool for example).
I’m NOT sure if its Battlecry gets revoked, like let’s say that you play Shudderwock – does it trigger its Battlecry? That’s something we don’t know yet.

And the cards are stretched out over a few weeks, which means that depending on their strength, the meta might change slightly every week :p
But I have to agree with you – I like quick balance changes and more content in general, but it’s been too much this time around. Expansion, two balance updates new adventure’s launch packed into ~1.5 months.
While I do not mind it as a player, it makes my job super difficult. I can’t keep anything up to date without it being irrelevant again in a week :/
Galakrond's Awakening Adventure Guide - 35 New Cards, Four Chapters, Launches January 21!
We don’t have reveal schedule for this expansion, but given that the first part launches January 21, we’ll probably have cards revealed over the next week.

Yes, you do get full Dust for her. And the change is pretty minor, the card is still great, just can’t high-roll (which is fine, it was really unfun to lose just because she rolled herself).
And Warlock is still viable after the nerf ๐

That’s not really what happened, but okay.

Format will be similar to the oldschool adventures, it won’t be another Dungeon Run clone ๐

It’s my bad, the deck wasn’t Holy Wrath build, I was just adding it quickly and my mind have assumed Holy Wrath after seeing Shirvallah ๐ I fixed it.
16.0.8 Balance Update is Out! Nerfs to Shaman, Rogue, Warlock and Dragonqueen Alexstrasza + Battlegrounds Changes
To be fair, if you forget to Dust her and leave her around, it won’t be the worst thing ever, since she’s still perfectly viable ๐

The best course of action is to disenchant all the cards you AREN’T playing. If you do play Pirate Warrior or Galakrond Warrior and Ancharrr / Scion of Ruin turn out to be viable, there’s no point in dusting them (because you don’t gain anything if you have to craft them right away anyway).
If you don’t play a card and it gets nerfed, you should Dust it simply because even if it turns out to be viable, you don’t lose anything by re-crafting it. And if it doesn’t turn out to be viable, or you won’t play it anyway, then you got yourself a lot of free Dust. E.g. even if Necrium Apothecary is still good, but you don’t play it, you’d rather have its full crafting Cost than the actual card (because you can use that Dust on something else). I explain this philosophy more in-depth in the post with post-nerf deck lists (https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/descent-of-dragons-post-second-nerf-meta-decks-best-hearthstone-pro-streamer-deck-lists-for-all-classes/)
In your case, I’d definitely dust Necrium, Dragon’s Pack, Invocation of Frost and Fiendish Rites (since you play the rest of nerfed cards).

You could already do that before :p When Vanish & Mind Blast have rotated out to Hall of Fame, they’ve changed their rarity from Basic to Common. And, as you know, you can disenchant Commons just fine.

Both for 700 gold. Only the first chapter is different – you get EVIL side for free (with 4 cards) and you buy the Explorers side for 700g (but it gives 3 bonus cards = 7 in total).

They should rotate out with all Year of the Dragon cards – so with the first expansion of 2021 (most likely April 2021).
The Amazing Reno
To be fair, Plague of Death is a 9 mana board wipe that sees play, this costs only 1 mana more and comes with 5 Armor. So it doesn’t need to have a SICK Hero Power to be worth it, just a solid one (because if HP is bad then the card is probably also bad).

Yep, they are!
Descent of Dragons Post-Second Nerf Meta Decks - Best Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes
I honestly think that you can keep the Deathrattle package in Highlander Rogue, since – like you’ve said – you rarely drop it on curve anyway and it’s not a crucial part of the deck. Since you don’t have to drop Apothecary ASAP or else you lose (like you do in Anubisath version of Deathrattle Rogue, for example), it costing one more mana shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
But we’ll see, maybe another package will turn out to be better.
I’m not a big fan of Bazaar Burglary in a Highlander deck, though. You want to finish the Quest as soon as you can so you can start getting advantage of the Hero Power, because you want to make up for the fact that you started with one card less and skipped T1. But there aren’t enough ways to add cards from another classes. Even when running duplicates, not drawing that Clever Disguise delays your Quest by a lot. In Highlander version, it would be very, very hard to finish the Quest in timely manner. Maybe if Galakrond’s Awakening will add another “thief” card… but that’s still a stretch probably.

Oh man, that would be the next level of broken! ๐ Imagine disappearing a big board from Resurrect Priest and then playing his minions one by one.
I can’t wait to see what the Hero Power is, and it would be cool if it had something to do with the Battlecry!
Yeah, they’ve said that they will be using all the mechanics introduced in Year of the Dragon, so I would suspect a Scheme card making a comeback too!
