Aggro Druid and Face Hunter are probably more competitively viable decks at the moment for reaching Rank 5. This deck can probably get there, but will have a harder time than those two. That said, if you enjoy it and/or need to get some Paladin daily quests done, this is a great deck for the cost.

Personally, I’m always rooting for Quest Warlock to be viable. That said, decks that include Lakkari Sacrifice currently have a 36.7% win rate. As much as I’m rooting for the archetype, Lakkari Sacrifice does belong here.

Tar Creeper or Hydrologist would be a good option.

It’s tough to say for sure this early, but Dragon Soul doesn’t appear to be very strong at the moment. If you’re not terribly interested in playing Priest and/or don’t care about golden cards, it may be worth turning it into a Legendary you can get more use out of.

Yes, Druid of the Swarm is a good replacement. That said, this deck is a little outdated. I would look at something closer to this:

Elise isn’t unplayable, there are just better options right now. Either way, the fact that we don’t recommend crafting her right now doesn’t mean she wasn’t safe to craft months ago or won’t come back in vogue in the future.

Even if Elise is never again competitively viable, the amount of play she saw in the past means the dust spent to craft her wasn’t necessarily wasted.

At time of writing, this exact deck list has a 58.1%. Face Hunter, as an archetype, has the third best Raw Win Rate and third best Effective Win Rate in the meta right now. The deck has a few unfavorable match ups, but it is far from bad.

Skull of the Man’ari is a bit slow in this deck. Typically, you want to add it to a list that has some higher cost demons (such as Voidlords). Cubelock and Control Warlock are both better fits for the card, but neither is at all close to a budget deck.

We will, but we want to let things settle a bit more before making recommendations. Cards that look strong early sometimes taper off in popularity.

Updates should be coming soon and I think this deck, which is already pretty strong, gains a lot with the new expansion compared to some of the other budget options.

Peter Whalen clarified that the buff retaining effect is tied to the card, not the Deathrattle effect and confirmed it would work with Doomerang specifically.

It’s a tough call. Highlander Priest is definitely continuing to look strong after the expansion, but I tend to hesitate with crafting decisions this close to a new release. Unless you’re in a hurry to try out the deck, it might be safer to wait for 8th. Or at least see the remainder of the set revealed early next week before making a decision.

Congrats! With some of the new cards announced for Warlock, this deck may only get better come next week! Keep posted for updates!

This close to a new expansion, I would recommend waiting until after Kobolds and Catacombs releases. There may be something from that set you want to craft and/or Tempo Rogue becomes less of a powerhouse. Either way, the deck is probably better with Cairne, but still functions without him.
