Will Rastakhan's Rumble Shake Up the Wild Meta?

I agree on both accounts! It’ll be nice to play Discard Warlock without as much fear of losing an important cards and Time Out! may be exactly what the OTK Paladin needs.

[WILD] Legend Spell Hunter

Not sure how that happened, but it’s been fixed. Thanks!

Wild Mech Hunter

Cogmaster is probably better than Faithful Lumi and Flying Machine over Spider Tank and/or Upgradeable Framebot. Two Glaivezookas are also good.

[WILD] Legend Reno Dragon Priest

That’s a lot of keywords!

I’ll see what I can do, though. 🙂

Budget Aggro/Tempo Pirate Rogue Deck List Guide (Rastakhan's Rumble)

Cobalt Scalebane would be a good option.

[WILD] Naga Sea Witch Returns! | Even Big Paladin

He’s not really necessary to cheat out big threats and would be a bit of a whiff from Prismatic Lens.

[WILD] Lengend Anyfin Paladin

This was corrected, thanks for pointing it out.

Wild Renolock

Thanks! I just realized this particular list is a bit outdated. While still viable, most are shifting away form N’zoth builds, so I don’t know if that will impact your decision. All cards you’ve mentioned are good options, but depend on the matchups you find yourself hitting. Below is a more current Renolock list used to reach Rank 1 Legend on EU recently.

Wild Renolock

It also helps against Odd Rogues and Even Shamans, if only slightly, as well as Odd Paladin. But yes, it’s primarily a tech against Kingsbane/Aluneth. The play rate for those decks has declined a bit (less true for Aluneth), so it can rotate out if you’re note facing many of either. Demonwrath slots in nicely as another anti-aggro tool.

Wild Even Warlock

Bloodreaver Gul’dan wouldn’t bring back many relevant Demons. The Hero Card is almost always excluded from Wild lists because the deck looks to win the game with 8/8’s well before turn 10.

FWIW, Spiral hit Rank 3 Legend with a nearly identical list last month. The list does quite well in the faster Wild meta.

Wild Odd Rogue

Captain Greenskin, Loatheb, Void Ripper, Tar Creeper, and Blink Fox are all reasonable replacements.

Melon Madness: How a Single Card has Warped Wild

Thanks for the kind words!

I had a similar experience playing the deck to Legend shortly after the expansion dropped this season. Despite playing rather poorly, I kept winning games simply because I drew Juicy Psychmelon. Eventually, the wins came so easily that it stopped being rewarding to pilot. At least players have adjusted to answer some of the Combo Druid decks, but the result is a metagame that’s somewhat lacking in diversity.

Melon Madness: How a Single Card has Warped Wild

A big part of Aggro’s reign, however, is Juicy Psychmelon pushing out the slower Control decks that were equipped to keep Aggro in check.

Hearthstone’s Forgotten Format: What Will it Take to Make Wild Popular?

I think that’d be a great idea! The Ranked chest for Wild could even include format-specific cards!

Wild Togwaggle Druid

I’d sub out one/both Wraths before taking out Innervate. The latter allows you to combo without Kun (Aviana, Togwaggle, Innervate, Azalina), so it’s a hedge against bad draws or Dirty Rat.

Wild Reno Mage

I haven’t tested it myself, but I could definitely see it as a reasonable tech choice in the deck.

Wild Odd Rogue

He’s definitely very good, but not as mandatory as he used to be. A second copy of Ironbeak Owl or a Fungalmancer would work as a replacement.

Recruit Hunter Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018

In most matchups, Discarding cards from Tracking is irrelevant (outside of extreme cases where you’re choosing between three combo pieces). The deck doesn’t cycle cards or want to go to Fatigue so, in most games, Discarding Tracking options is the same as never drawing them.

Recruit Hunter Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018

While Dire Frenzy fits the overall gameplan of the deck, it tends to be a win-more card. In fact, it has one of the lowest Drawn WRs (rivaling even that of some of the big beasts that you actively don’t want to draw) suggesting it’s underperforming in decks that include it.

Recruit Hunter Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018

Recruit Hunter is one of those decks that started gaining in popularity, but it was tough to gauge whether it was truly relevant or just taking advantage of the uncertain metagame. Now that things have settled a bit more, as an archetype, it appears to be the real deal. It’ll be interesting to see where the deck goes as players start to refine and find the most optimal list.
