Mulligans

General Mulligans

You almost always look for early survival tools.

Against classes you know will let you chill you can mulligan for more value/pressure oriented stuff. (Lesser Ruby Spellstone/Animated Avalanche)

This is my main project right now. I liked elementals for a very long time now and I had the luck of getting Frost Lich Jaina back in the day so now I’m really trying to make this work.

The main win condition in this deck is sort of attrition sort of tempo. Elemental Evocation is of course busted, elementally charged minions will also help very much, especially Animated Avalanche and Blazecaller. And Bonfire Elementals, Elemental Allies, Lesser Ruby Spellstones and Frost Lich Jaina will make this deck be aye-okay to go ino super-late game. Majority of other stuff is to help with keeping earlier in the game. That’s what those elemental Bloodfen Raptors and Spider Tanks will aid in. Also a cheeky Arcanosaur to boot.

The amount of different deck choices you could make in this is insane, you really can make this archetype your own. I’m not going to go over every single one here, but just my thoughts on the major ones.
Ragnaros the Firelord, Servant of Kalimos, Siamat, Ozruk and Frost Elemental are all fine choices but I don’t think so much value is needed, you don’t want to end up with a full hand and an empty board.
Quicksand Elemental, Tar Creeper, Nightmare Amalgam, Water Elemental, Fire Fly, Igneous Elemental, Shimmering Tempest and Volatilte Elemental are all fine choices not the optimal ones IMO but still very good. If you’re missing any non-key cards they are excellent replacements.
Mountain Giant could be worth to add as well.
There exist a number of elemental-hero power themed cards that could be experimented with together in a different build of the deck. I’m going to post that at some point as well.

I play an almost exact version of this deck with just one Water Elemental instead of a Scorch cause I don’t have it. Average results in D10-6.
