Mage sports a surprisingly high 8% play rate for its dismal overall winrate, but 8% play rate is nowhere near enough to justify putting this guy in your deck, and with the entire expansion card list revealed, I don’t see that play rate growing much. 2/5

This would have been nice when we had Hyldnir Frostrider and Frozen Crusher in Standard.

So this is used if you REALLY can’t take Freeze mage anymore, or if you are running some kind of Elemental Deck. 3 Mana 3/4 is pretty standard in Today’s Hearthstone, but having also to prevent being frozen is an interesting touch. I would throw this tech card away, but maybe just 1 copy of this is enough, or 2 if you notice more Freeze cards then ever. 3 Stars.

Well, it’s a tech card. It’s good to have tech cards for every mechanic, but it’d take a LOT of freeze mages on ladder for this to be worth playing or even discovering.

So basically a card to specifically counter freeze mage I wonder if they may later come up with other freezing cards.

You make a decent board. Your opponent freezes it. You play this elemental for lethal.

      depends how its programmed
if it only prevents being frozen that doesnt work
if it will remove active freeze it will

A tech card for one of the most niche mechanics in hearthstone. Might see play in Aggro decks in a control shaman or mage dominated meta but even then this card having a high usage is extremely unlikely.
