This is a Rogue combo deck using Dollmaster Dorian, Spiritsinger Umbra, and Roll the Bones. This is just the first draft of the deck I hope this will become as the rest of the cards are spoiled and the expansion in released. I have no idea if this will actually work, but I am hopeful that I can find some variant to play.
With the high amount of Deathrattle minions (15), Roll the Bones should be a very Vdraw card, and when paired with Dollmaster Dorian it gives insane value! The key play would be to cast Dorian on turn 5 (or 4 with coin) and then play Preparation into Roll the Bones to generate up to 6 1/1’s that all do something when they die. For even more insanity, by turn 9 you can play both Dollmaster Dorian and Spiritsinger Umbra and get even more value (this can also be done if one of the legendary’s is already in play, but it is unlikely that either will survive for a turn).
Value: Devilsaur Egg, Sherazin, Corpse Flower, Cairne Bloodhoof, and Splitting Festeroot all give you something better when they die as a 1/1 (and most give you something equal or better when they die normally). I was really skeptical about Splitting Festeroot when I first saw it, but cheating it in at a 1/1 could be really useful. I also am not convinced how well Sherazin will do here, but I’m eager to try it out.
Backstab is good removal, especially when paired with spell damage
Cheat Death is my favorite of the three Rogue secrets. This could potentially save one of your key players Umbra or Dorian, but can also be used to replay a Deathrattle minion
Fan of Knives is also good removal and draw
Lesser Onyx Spellstone may or may not be necessary/good, but I thought it would be a good inclusion since this is a Deathrattle deck.
Yeah, but will it work?
I have no idea, but I hope so! Like I said before, this is more of a primer for the deck I hope this will one day be. We’ll have a few years to play around with the cards Dollmaster Dorian and Roll the Bones, so I’m confident that in that time I’ll find someway to make this work.
Some potential problems I see with this deck are that, simply, it won’t work. Imagine the dream scenario: You’ve got Dorian out and you cast Roll the Bones to draw…. Fan of Knives, or any other spell/non-deathrattle minion. That would be very disappointing, and is a very real possibility. Another thing I worry about it having cards like Splitting Festeroot in hand and not wanting to play them. Casting that card for 8 manna is a mistake, in my opinion. And what about the Devilsaur Egg? There’s now way to pop it in this deck (save for Backstabbing it for 3) while its a 0/3.
Well, this is the deck! I’m eager to try this out on launch day. Let me know what you think!
