Mulligans

General Mulligans

Look for Hemet or Stitched Tracker to get Hemet, for the most part, focus on playing aggro to exhaust the enemy and make sure the board is at least manageable.

Aggro Mulligans

Alternative Aggro or Midrange board control options.

Midrange Mulligans

Alternative Aggro or Midrange board control options.

Control Mulligans

Not much to do against control, just take measures against big stuff like Moutain Giants.

Okay, so this deck is essentially another tempo based hunter, but the issue is you lose matchups to control decks or REALLY lucky Keleseth Rogues every now and then, but who says Rogue is the only one who can rip apart their deck for a strong finish, as much as I love Academic Espionage, I think I have something better.

Hunter does have Deathstalker Rexxar to solve the lack of late game, giving it a super strong hero power and extremely high potential, but you need to play it first. Too bad if it’s at the bottom…

If it won’t come to you, how about we forcibly draw it? Hemet, Jungle Hunter is my solution. I mean if it’s one of the last 3 cards, those are some great odds of getting it.

Now how do we tackle fatigue? Shuffle new cards, aka Dire Frenzy .

Best Case: the deck is only 7/7 charged Vicious Fledgling or untargetable Shimmering Courser

Worst Case: the deck gets filled with 3 mana 6/7 Augmented Elekk.

Even in the worst case, you get a solid body for 3 mana every turn after stabilizing, along with the hero power.

Mulligan:

Hemet, Jungle Hunter or Stitched Tracker to thin deck.

Otherwise look to create a hand that will develop the board, Dire MoleWandering MonsterAnimal Companion etc.

Game Plan:

Establish the board, seek to play Hemet as early as you can unless you feel like you can burst them down already. If you draw Hemet early, feel free to use the Stitched Tracker to get some extra Augmented Elekk . Don’t worry about playing aggro, just hit them hard and force them to expend their removal or keep the board under YOUR control.

After that, just look to make the super strong deck you want, you can have a deck full of 10-20 6/7 Augmented Elekk or whatever you want otherwise.

Again, if you feel like you can aggro the rest without making your new deck, I run Rhok'delar to handle that.

Other stuff:

I’m not that competitive and I don’t do add-ons and that boring stuff. I just meme and meme hard on ladder. The deck is obviously bad against Warlocks with Gnomeferatu , Rogues with Fal'dorei Strider and Seaforium Bomber . In that case, just don’t use Hemet and shuffle more of your strong minons while using Stitched Tracker to retrieve more of your buffed copies.

It really only loses to a REALLY bad match-up against Voidlord drafting Warlocks or Keleseth Rogues. Again, I don’t do statistics, but I think 60-65% is accurate, definitely above 50%.

If you lack any of the cards, the core of the combo is:

and either Elise the Trailblazer or Rhok'delar , but I recommend against running both.
