Mulligans
General Mulligans
The cards that are listed below are to help keep you opponent minions at bay while your overload mechanic limits you early.
Forked Lightning: Helps keep aggressive decks and early attacks at bay.
Drakkari Defender: Taunt and 8 health allows time to build around with other minions.
Feral Spirit: Taunt card that puts off aggressive decks.
Lightning Storm: Helps remove low health/cost minions to start your own push or slow down aggression.
Lesser Sapphire Spellstone: This is nice to have early to allow the full upgrade. I like to use this with Snowfury Giant when the mana cost is 0.
This deck is using the Overload mechanic to bring an early advantage. Feel free to substitute Zap! with another spell. However, I have found the cards listed best. It is a cheaper deck that can help early/new players. It also makes players maintain a hand advantage that is good for early/new players.
A few key points I have found playing with this deck:
- Don’t play a card on your first turn.
- Typically, use your hero power on the second turn. For aggressive decks you might need to use Forked Lightning if you have it.
- While Unbound Elemental might seem like a great card to keep early, I recommend the mulligan for something else. You can add more attack and health to it in mid/late game versus using it early.
