Overview
This deck is really fun and, from how much of it I’ve played so far, quite good. I used lots of new RoS cards, with the deck’s central strategy formed around the new cards Archmage Vargoth and Catrina Muerte. As this is still an early version of this deck, I’m not sure whether or not some cards should be substituted out, so feel free to do so if you want to. I have to admit, this deck is the first real priest deck I’ve made/played. Some of my strategies are probably not the best, but I’ll go over them anyway.
Mulligan
I haven’t played this deck enough to have developed a solid mulligan strategy, especially against each individual class, but generally, I try to get cards like Vargoth, Infiltrator, and Shadow Word: Pain.
Cards
Vargoth is one of this deck’s main strengths. He synergizes beautifully with cards like Mass Ressurection and Mind Control. If Vargoth dies early on in the game, an on-curve or just fairly early Catrina Muerte resurrect can add another Vargoth to the rez pool, making the lategame strategy much more reliable (That being a Mass Ressurect-ed Vargoth triggering another wave of ressurects). Big Vargoth-fueled boards aren’t this deck’s only win condition, so you can sometimes just drop him for tempo.
Catrina Muerte is the second main card in this deck. You’ll probably want to play her after a Tunnel Blaster or Convincing Infiltrator or two have died so that a handy-dandy wall can help keep her alive. If you are lucky enough for Catrina to survive a turn, it’s very easy to snowball into a massive board and put out a ton of damage. If you play her on turn 10 or later, a viable option can be to immediately Seance her. This, however, is more of a niche move.
Another card I want to address in Da Undatakah. If one aspect of this deck needs to be revisited, it’s probably this. I thought he would be a fun card to include, but I don’t think he offers much in terms of viable usage unless you are about to lose board control and want to proactively defend against a threat.
The last card that I’m going to give its own section is Coffin Crasher. I mainly use it for tempo, as pulling any of the big deathrattle minions I included works very well. It’s also the main reason why cards like Deranged Doctor were included (as it prevents the tempo loss of playing that card). Besides that, just play it how you would in any other deck.
Other Cards
Most of the cards in this deck are just there to control the board, restore health, or just stall. There’s really not much else to say here.
Conclusion
Thanks for taking the time to read my post! This is my first time posting on here, so please let me know how I did! If you want to ask me anything or just want someone to play with, feel free to add me on bnet (langdon#11247). If you end up playing this deck, let me know what you think!
