Mulligans
General Mulligans
Against fast aggro classes such as Hunter, Rogue, and Paladin mulligan for board clears, especially Defile against Paladin. Against these decks it is usually smart to mulligan Mountain Giant away, as answering their threats early is often necessary.
Against other Warlocks, Priests, Warriors, and Shamans mulligan for as many Mountain Giants and 4 Mana threats as possible. Combo pieces should pretty much always get pushed back into the deck since typically the later you draw them the better.
Even Warlock is a very strong tempo deck able to take advantage of Mountain Giant earlier than ever before using the 1 mana hero power from Genn Greymane, as well as thicc Twilight Drake. With the Coin, Mountain Giant can be played as early as turn 3. This version of the deck removes the conventional Demon package for a plan B in the form of Mecha'thun.
The amount of card draw available in the deck helps skip past combo cards. Namely, the double Galvanizer into Bloodbloom, Cataclysm, and Mecha'thun. Against decks that Mountain Giant cannot close out against, plenty of board clears and healing are present to stall the game until you draw your deck out and win with Mecha'thun.
