Mulligans
General Mulligans
These aren't involved in very powerful combos and help you get through the early game.
This deck relies on synergy with Glinda Crowskin and Summoning Portal for some very fun effects. However, the combo requires a 10 mana turn (8 if echoing a low card is really necessary) for setup. Cards like Zola the Gorgon and Baleful Banker provide a bit of recovery if the setup is broken. The combo setup goes like this: Summoning Portal, Glinda Crowskin, Play Zola the Gorgon to copy Glinda, then play an echo is Zola to copy either the summoning portal or the first Zola. The latter option is preferable if there is a second portal in hand, because saving the Zola could be useful. Also, removing the Zola’s, if possible, is also preferable, because board-space limits some combos.
Here comes the fun part. With a full turn of combo setup, one could… play 5 Lifedrinkers to deal 15 to face and heal for 15, play 5 Hooked Reavers (assuming you’re under 15, this deck is quite slow) for 5 7/7 taunts, play 5 Gnomeferatus to burn 5 cards, play 7 Gnomeferatus with 2 dark pacts, or play a minion and 9 Ratcatchers for a whopping 18+/18+ minion with rush.
I understand my deck building skills are a bit weak, but this is just a fun mock-up for a combo deck that’s been swirling in my head since Glinda’s reveal. I hope others are inspired and build upon this deck to help it reach its full potential! My first concern with this deck is a general stability. Getting to turn 10 seems pretty rough, and I’m usually pretty greedy with saving combo pieces. A better version of this deck may have more control elements and less combos pieces.
