Mulligans
General Mulligans
In the early game, 1 dropd are of utmost importance. If you don't have any in your hand, then get rid of everything to try and get one. These are generally the cards you want, as they don't rely too heavily on other cards to be good.
Aggro Mulligans
Corsair will help IMMENSELY in these matchups, unless of course you draw patches. Voidwalker and Knife Juggler are also good at picking of 1 health minions, while argus is definitely worth considering to keep.
Discard Zoolock has definitely seen better days. With the loss of Power Overwhelming and Imp Gang Boss, plus Lakarri Sacrifice turning out to be a huge disappointment, this deck has dropped a bit in power level. However, with the right twists here and there, it is still a good deck to play, and will surely improve in the near future. Let’s look at some of the new cards discard zoolock has gained.
Clutchmother Zavas , another card which turns the discard downside into a benefit, not to mention increasing the dust cost of this deck by a LOT. Still, this card is very powerful, as even discarding it once gives you no loss of cards, and a 2 mana 4/4. It’s a card that is quite similar to Edwin VanCleef, and we all know how good that is.
Ravenous Pterrordax , a very powerful card that fills in the 4 drop slot quite nicely. By using this card on a small minion, not only do you play around aoe, but you also make a really unfair minion.
Devilsaur Egg , quite good if you can kill it with Abusive Sergeant or Ravenous Pterrordax , but I personally don’t put too much faith in this card, as it is really bad on it’s own. So I don’t think you should run more than 1.
Along with the old classics and the addition of the pirate package, which helps out with your early game a little, Discard Zoolock can still hold on it’s own somewhat well in the current meta. Your worst matchups would probably be taunt warrior, paladin and mage, but even those can still be won with the right plays.
