Mulligans
General Mulligans
Without the coin, I always try to get Anka, Anubisath Warbringer, and Pharaoh Cat to ensure that I can use Anka with the Warbringer as soon as possible, with Pharaoh Cat as early board presence with another potentially low reborn minion to go with it. With the coin I would keep the same hand and have a spell card like Sap or Backstab for Aggresive decks, and Elven Minstrel for more later game decks. Necrium Blade is also good to have to replace the Pharaoh Cat or the spell cards.
The main goal of this deck is to utilize Anka, the Buried to shrink Anubisath Warbringer to a 1 cost, 1/1 minion to easily combo with deathrattle triggers such as Necrium Blade and Necrium Vial to buff your other minions in your hand. Furthermore, you can use Carnivorous Cube on the 1 cost Anubisath Warbringer, then use Necrium Vial to quickly have 4 9/6 minions on the board as early as turn 7 or 8. Save your Violet Haze until after you use Anka, the Buried with Anubisath Warbringer in order to save the stats of your random deathrattle minions, unless you are in desperate need of board presence. This strategy overwhelms your opponent who will eventually run out of ways to get rid of your potential 20/20ish minions.
However, you aren’t getting Anka, the Buried with Anubisath Warbringer in your hand, you can always use Anka, the Buried on Mechanical Whelp and use deathrattle triggers and/or Carnivorous Cube on that card for the same overwhelming effect. Da Undatakah is good to use even if only two deathrattle minions have died, such as a Mechanical Whelp and a Anubisath Warbringer because it still gives you a lot of value and, chances are, it is already buffed.
The low cost spell cards are used to defend yourself early-game while you get enough mana to start utilizing cards like Anka, the Buried, and Vanish is for aggressive/board heavy decks like Vargoth priest to prevent them from being to much before you can execute the combos. Blightnozzle Crawler is if you have no spell cards like Sap and you have, for example, Necrium Blade.
I realize that Spiritsinger Umbra would be a valuable card to have, but I personally don’t have the card so I haven’t been able to try it. Please let me know if you do add the card in the deck and how it does, and what card you switched out for it. This is my first time posting a deck so any formatting tips would be very much appreciated!
