    Why Underbelly Angler?

All you need is one other Murloc and you basically have one big flexible hand/board refill. It works better than you might guess- you’ll draw those two Murlocs eventually and you have plenty of plays to make while you wait.

Underbelly Angler is also such a big target that your opponent will use their resources inefficiently to remove it, helping you stick an Unbound Elemental/Thunderhead down the line. And quite a few classes have no way to remove it if they didn’t draw a 1-drop and you’re on coin.

I asked because, previous versions played Knife Juggler, Thalnos or Wolf…

Actually, before the expansion I was hoping this kind of aggro Shaman will be the thing instead of Murlocs. It’s much more tactical. But Rogues were so fast and dominant back then… I’m definitely gonna play this again.

        Thanks for your inputs.

Ok, I immediately achieved the 1st win with the deck. It’s very fun. https://hsreplay.net/replay/fFvTs4AP9anZL8pbCoP5B8

According to HSReplay it’s finally above 50% (52%) which is surprising to me who’s been playing the deck from RR (together with the Wild version) not quite successfully. Obviously, the meta shifted favorably. Matchups are favorable across the board, with an obvious exception of Warrior!

The deck has 3 main components: 1) some early minions to pressure or to contest the board. Unbound Elemental can easily get out of control. Another board control tool (and removal target) is Thunderhead, now with 6 HP! Likkim, too, or simply hit the head with it. 2) Spirit of the Frog, to cycle your spells; even if you’re done with the board you can burn your opponent with them from a distance. 3) Doomahammers for more unexpected reach.

What I failed to notice is that there are 4 murlocs. Underbelly works on Underbelly, as well

This deck is insane, if you equipped a doom hammer last turn you can deal 27 damage (16) for next turn (stormsurge 3 cost + rockbitter weapon 2 cost + lava burst 3 cost + 2xlighting bolt 1 cost).

(don’t forget the (2) overload you get from the weapon)

oh yeah but still 16 damage a turn is still massive (weapon with stormsurge and rockbitter)

I think alexstrasza OTK shaman will be even better (+ some survivability), either 18 (stormsurge, two lava burst and a lightning bolt) or 16 damage (doomhammer, stormsurge and rockbitter weapon) can finish your opponent off
