Goliath, Sneed's Masterpiece
Would have been amazing if it could target minions and face but as it stands it’s good, like a reno the relicologist but more expensive.
Suckerhook
I don’t know why this card is only at 3 stars, it has solid stats and gives you a free (and generally better) weapon. The warrior 4 mana 2-5 taunt guy that equips a 3-2 weapon sees play, this can certainly fit into some kind of aggro elemental deck (they already run 2-3 weapons), not sure what would be cut though.
Proving Grounds
“They” fight? Your minions? With each other? In what scenario would you even want this?
Hearthstone Mercenaries PvP Party Comps – Best Teams and Strategies for PvP – October 2021
So have diablo and cairne or you’re out, nice.

Oh my bad didn’t see your comments on rexxar. Personally i like to open with both rexxar and anacondra because opponent knows they are both high priority targets so i just let them kill one while doing my stuff (they usually can’t kill both efficiently as there are next to no good aoe dealing protector spells) and go with the krush + mukla strat later on. Only problem seems to be that when they focus on anacondra and rexxar kills their casters, krush is simply less useful.

To add on to the beast comp, I have found rexxar is also pretty good, kill command does pretty good damage when leveled, and animal companions are decent too. Don’t think he’s absolutely necessary to play beasts but he’s pretty useful. Also, blink fox mind thief is super fun and it actually becomes a very strong ability once you get task 7 gear.
You Can Earn Coins For Mercenaries You Already Maxed, But There Will Be An Use For Those In The future
The way this situation played out leads me to believe they completely overlooked this problem and when a user brought it up they just said “fuck it we’ll find something to do with the coins later”
Anetheron
Oh also it’s kind of a letdown that this huge demon that has been hyped so much in the book of mercs storyline is just a mountain giant 2.0
Anetheron
I guess evenlock in wild got some buffs but I doubt this card will have any play anywhere else. Handlock will never be competitive in standard because you can’t afford to do nothing but tap for the first 3-4 turns. If only warlock is given card generation on the same level as priest, handlock will be playable.
Mutanus the Devourer
What is up with the tickatus comments? You know damn well this is just going to eat the 1-3 soul fragment demon. Also the last time I checked paladin was still sh*tting on everyone, good luck winning when you eat a 1-1 paladin minion.
Why Is Shaman so Bad Now and What Should Be Done About It? - Shaman Decks With The Biggest Chance of Success
The main problem with shaman is that when it’s strong it feels unfair, and that’s because it is unfair, look at hearthstone’s entire history, everytime a shaman deck was tier 1 it relied on playing good cards on curve, you couldn’t beat bogspine knuckles on 5, you couldn’t beat galakrond on 7, shudder on 9, tunnel trogg on 1 + totem golem on 2, you name it, it doesn’t matter what you play, if they have it, you lose, your only hope to winning was that they don’t have it, and the reason that these decks didn’t have 100% win rate was that there was no good draw options in the class so when they didn’t have their good cards they just took their loses and moved on. And when the good cards were nerfed the class took a nosedive to trash tier everytime, never to be played again until the next good card was revealed.
Priest also suffers from the same problem, but tier 1 shaman decks were generally pretty fast, whereas priest has always been a control class (with the exception of inner fire decks) which leads to longer games which makes it more hated than shaman.
Alec Dawson: Balance Patch Results Are Intended (Setting up Classes for the Future), Except Paladin, Which Is a Little Too Strong
Turns out when you nerf both the best deck and the next best options, nothing really changes. Who could have foreseen this :((((
Patch 20.2.2 - Nerfs to Refreshing Spring Water, First Day of School, Hysteria, Crabrider and Mankrik, 10 Card Buffs, 8 Quilboar Nerfs and Barrens Blacksmith Removed in BG
These nerfs arent nearly enough to push back paladin, especially with bloodlu- i mean, conviction being unchanged and hysteria being nerfed (only viable control decks were warlock and priest anyway).
Also, nzoth being buffed to 9 mana may actually be a secret nerf because most decks that run nzoth usually run yshaarj too and nzoth being 9 mana means it cant corrupt clowns anymore, which I feel like is a big deal. Not to mention most of the time the 1 leftover mana won’t be used. Being able to play it on turn 9 is also not really a big deal as all boardclears are cheaper than that.
Warlock buffs are a joke, I dont think the shaman buffs are any good either but warrior may be promising
Balance Update Is Coming Next Week With 5 Card Nerfs and 10 Buffs
I have been wondering why they haven’t done any buffs since boomsday (not reverts) , especially for standard, I haven’t really seen anyone else bringing this up on any forum either so I am pleasently surprised to see that buffing standard cards wasn’t a one-off thing.
Hopefully shaman will be at least half decent and if it is, hopefully they won’t put it back in the garbage tier after two weeks.
Sigil of Silence
i cant imagine this card being run aggro since it’s kinda slow and doesn’t directly deal damage but I can see it being used as an enabler for some kind of minion based combo.
Mordresh Fire Eye
friendly reminder that core set will have the hero power support cards for mage
Old edwin is not a good comparison for this card, a better comparison is gadgetzan auctioneer. Think about that for a second and tell me this card isn’t 5 stars.
