I think they overestimated the overall strength of aggro decks. Yes, we have seen Pirate Warrior and Face Hunter, but they weren’t strong enough on average to keep Shaman in check. All that was left was Galakrond Rogue, which evolved into a ridiculous deck some time later, after the nerfs in fact.

Great answer! Early Bloodsworns and highrolling into the Priest not having MD may be your best long-term strategy.

That could become the case, yes. However, I think that Galakrond value may just be enough to get somewhere close to Tier 2.

That’s the thing – it’s so overpowered that it works with basically any minion combination!

It’s my favorite composition so far. Most players still don’t know about its potential, so successful rolls are much more likely!

By the looks of it, the virtualization for each seal is identical; that has been the case for the last Standard year as well. In my mind those cracked crystal seals are used for the card pack art, which always explode or disintegrate by opening a card pack. But that’s just my limited VFX experience talking 🙂

What so, so, SO many westerners don’t see are the eastern reactions. This may look like a community backlash, but a majority of the Chinese market couldn’t care less. And that is the reason why Blizzard did act this way, swift and in full force, so that everything goes on as planned.

This is true! However, you can be damn sure that he existed while Classic WoW has happened, and as already said multiple times, we need at least some minions in this forsaken Priest list to make anything happen 🙂

I’m pretty sure that Highlander Mage will still be playable after nerfs. Yes, Galaxy is the key card, but it has much more control tools compared to the other Mage lists, so it can afford to wait a couple of turns longer.

I’m gonna eat a shoe if we see either Inner Fire or Divine Spirit reworked. The Priest main in me may be talking right now, but the class has literally no other win condition in Standard. Yes, it’s strong, maybe even too strong, but it can’t be nerfed at least right now.

There’s no really good answer for that. He played a big role in the Cataclysm and Uldum storyline, but after that it got quite dark around him. I think he has been seen in Ashran, the PvP zone in Warlords of Draenor, but that’s basically it.

Maybe Team 5 wants to preserve his “vanilla character” within the game; however, I did predict a reprint of him after I heard about the Uldum expansion, because it would have made so much sense! On the other side we can be more than happy with our own explorers 🙂

Watch out for the upcoming comprehensive deck guide – it includes answers to all your questions, including a more balanced deck list! However, like Servivo said, Loti is definitely a strong card in this deck and should always be included no matter the deck iteration.

I think you have to mulligan superhard for them, because they are so worth it to play on turn 2. This list will turn into a much less “Choose One”-focussed list, and then especially would you want to have more draw early than quest progression. Will be interesting to see!

Nomi is definitely a very interesting card for this deck, because Nourish draws 3 almost every time!

My expansion speculation based on the teaser picture earlier this year talks about the big dragon vibe, and that one only gets more intense with Saviors of Uldum.

We don’t see any dragons directly, but Deathwing plays an important role in Uldum’s history. He already allied with parts of Uldum’s residents, so why not with the League of E.V.I.L. in the third expansion? 🙂
