I used it for a bit, and it has its place, now that we’re moving towards a more structured meta where fatigue and mid-game tempo matchups happen more often. I think it ‘s still very weak in aggro matchups.

Void is omnipresent in WoW lore, so it always has to be a top contender when looking at any expansion teaser that looks even half-voidish!

The meta has evolved a lot since writing this, so I can see Vashj make an even more huge difference in terms of reach.

I’m not a big fan of Earthquake, because if your opponent has board advantage, they will likely gain board advantage again after you’ve cleared with Earthquake. We’re not a control deck, because we will face aggro by being aggro ourselves. 🙂

Maybe a crass example, but if you happen to have a lot of harmless attack<health-minions on board, Soul Mirror can be a good way to counter board-centric swing plays like Warlock's Galakrond.

Well said! It’s a very hard archetype to balance though, just because it could become the beast we never wanted as Totem Shaman. Maybe a 1-mana named Totem or something would be cool!

I’ve seen those inclusions on ladder, and they can make sense against DH.

Don’t forget to watch the meta closely after the DH nerfs, though! 🙂

Liadrin is such an awesome card. However, it’s a high value card, but not a high tempo card. In this list, high value needs to creater higher tempo in the upcoming turns for it to be worth it.

The spot in this regard is already reserved through Lightforged Crusader – a minion with 4 more stats than Liadrin that will almost always net more value than Liadrin on average.

Again, I love the fantasy and theme of Liadrin. I just wish it was a 6/6 or something that comes close to a playable minion on turn 7 …

Not the worst idea! I don’t want to rely on too many Highlander cards though, because Albatross will be a thing, even more than before, just because Alex/Zephrys will be even more powerful in a “corrected” meta after the rotation.

However, I can see it being a high-value replacement for Air Raid or Faerie Dragon.
