How to Crush the 14.4 Arena โ€“ Tips & Tricks for Power Level Picks

It’s still the lowest win rate class according to stats, but no longer by such a huge margin. Instead of ~39% win rate it now has ~43% win rate.

Warrior is always a problematic class in Arena, because they need some seriously powerful cards to compensate the fact that their Hero Power could as well not exist.

Token Priest - Shadows Post-Buff - Legend (EMEm)

Yes, we still have ongoing issues with deck strings containing Madame Lazul. They don’t import properly and if we add her manually, the resulting deck code does not work in game.

We’re still trying to figure out how to fix that ๐Ÿ™

Masters Tour Las Vegas Happens This Week! (June 14-16) + Get Free Packs From Twitch Drops

Right now, we still have qualifiers for the 2nd tour stop (Seoul) going.

Starting in July, there will be A LOT of small, open, tournament qualifiers (like over a hundred) you can participate in to qualify for the 3rd tour stop – Bucharest. Getting either 1st or 2nd spot (as far as I remember) in qualifier will qualify you to the main Masters event.

Here’s no limit in how many of them you can participate, but mind you that a) there are often a few of them happening during a single day and b) if you don’t fall out quickly, they tend to take a while (often whole day), because there are many, many rounds (and CW mirrors can be pretty long as you probably know).

That said, I’m not an expert on esports (sadly I don’t have enough time for that), but you can find the qualifier events here: https://playhearthstone.com/en-gb/esports/programs/masters-qualifiers

That’s weird – I don’t meet a lot of players still running Brewmaster or Banker after the nerf. But yeah, I understand that it could be pretty frustrating.

And yes, next expansion should come out early-mid August. We’ll get more details about it mid-July.

Hearthstone Legendary Crafting Guide (Standard) - United in Stormwind

Harrison is still a good craft (and if someone got him before, he definitely should not regret it), but it’s not as good anymore when Rogues with Waggle Picks aren’t 20% of the ladder ๐Ÿ™‚

When it comes to other “major” changes, I’ve added Khadgar to Best from RoS and SN1P-SN4P to Boomsday (once he’s no longer free, that is).

But most of the changes were to the “Good” crafts. Neither the nerf, nor the buff patch changed the most played Legendaries THAT much.

Best Hearthstone Decks - Standard Meta Tier List - Across the Timeways (November 2025)

It really depends. The version of Mech Hunter I’ve featured here might not be enough to call it a different archetype – it’s close enough to just consider these changes tech choices etc. BUT, this is the first time I’m seeing such an aggressive version of Mech build. That’s why I’ve still decided to wait and see whether it will become THE version of the deck to play.

Because you see, the most popular versions of Mech Hunter ever since Rise of Shadows’ launch were fundamentally different than Bomb Hunter. Bomb Hunter is an Aggro deck, the Mech Hunter was Midrange or maybe even somewhat of a Combo deck. It wasn’t just a few cards – the only thing they’ve shared in common was the fact that they both played Mechs.

For example, look at this popular pre-buff version of Bomb Hunter (https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/bomb-hunter-shadows-post-nerf-8-legend-meati/) and Mech Hunter (https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/mech-hunter-shadows-post-nerf-1-legend-qige/).

The two most important differences are the fact that Mech Hunter runs Nine Lives (so bases a big part of its game plan on that card), as well as Zul’jin. Since it runs Zul’jin, unlike Bomb Hunter which is a minion-focused deck, Mech build runs a bunch of spells too – most notably Unleash the Beast, Unleash the Hounds and Deadly Shot, all of which are reactive cards. Mech Hunter builds sometimes also include other removals (like Marked Shot here, or Secrets), which are not present in Bomb version. Also, since Magnetic is not as important to the deck’s game plan, it can run a lower density of Mech cards, which means that it can play cards like Springpaw or Animal Companion without hurting its game plan that much. In fact, Mech Hunter would not want to play too many Deathrattle Mechs, because it wants to always be able to hit either Oblivitron or Mechanical Whelp with Nine Lives. It already has Spider Bomb (which is also useful from Nine Lives sometimes) and Ursatron – adding more things like Mecharoo or Replicating Menace (or even SN1P-SN4P for that matter) could possibly mess up with this game plan.

On the other hand, since Bomb version has a much more aggressive plan and relies on board tempo to win the game (it has basically NO reactive game plan), you need to play a) more “sticky” minions that you can Magnetize into (e.g. Mecharoo, Upgradeable Framebot, Explodinator). It also runs more Magnetic cards, since it’s your main game plan – for example, you never really see Replicating Menaces or Missile Launchers in Mech build. As a finisher Bomb version usually played Leeroy, Flark, or both, again something that you have never seen in Mech version.

I was always surprised that others were calling both builds Mech Hunter, even though they were fundamentally different. Honestly, it would be like calling both Control Warrior and Bomb Warrior just “Control Warrior”. After all, they share like 2/3 of the deck.

IF the new, more aggressive builds take over I will definitely merge them into one archetype and start calling both Mech Hunter. But this is literally the first time I’m seeing a build like that being successful, because before it looked way different. If the “old” Mech Hunter build sticks, however, they are two completely different archetypes and I will keep separating them.

Midrange Bomb Warrior - Shadows Post-Buff - #26 Legend (Khamul)

Because it’s not meant to run Brawls, it’s not a pure Control build. You play a more Midrange strategy in this deck. Since you’re the one with board most of the time, Brawls are often dead.

Top Standard Legend Decks From Rise of Shadows - Week 8 (June 2019)

It’s not end of the season – it’s the highest they’ve climbed with a given deck (and reported on Twitter or other social media). Since we post those reports weekly – it would be impossible to post end of month rankings in the middle of the month, for example ๐Ÿ™‚ Since this report lined up with end of the month, SOME of those rankings might be close to their final standings at the end of the month, but no guarantees.

You’re right that the players are from different regions (we post decks from all 4 regions – mostly from EU, NA and APAC, but Chinese decks are also present on our site) and sometimes they hold #1 rank at the same time on different servers. But most of the time, player X hits #1 Legend, then a few hours later, or sometimes a few days later, another player gets a win streak and takes the #1 Legend spot from the previous player. Or the player who was holding #1 Legend played a few games and started losing and another player who won at the same time took his place. That’s usually how #1 Legend climb looks like.

No official info yet, but I would guess the usual time – around 10 AM PDT, so 19 CEST. Most of the patches, news etc. come out around that time. Of course, it might be a bit sooner, or a bit later, but probably not by much.
