The Winners and Losers of the Hall of Fame Announcement
My main point was that it’s not what “strictly better” means. A 3 mana 3/3 is strictly better than a 3 mana 2/3 with the same effect. 3 mana Fireball would be strictly better than a 4 mana Fireball.
But here, we’re paying 1 more mana for +1 Attack (good thing) and turning Combo into Battlecry (again, good thing). You can say that one is better than the other, but neither is strictly better.
And again, I think that they are quite similar in terms of power level. When using SI:7 vs Fire Plume Phoenix as an example, you forgot that both of them have the same stats. In this case, 3-drop is a 2/3 and 4-drop is a 3/3. How much play would SI:7 Agent see as a 2/3? It’s hard to say, but definitely much less than it does right now. If it was a 2/3, I’d say that both him and Phoenix would be on about the same power level. Same goes for the cards here, in my opinion.
Vanish and Mind Blast Rotate to Hall of Fame, 10 New Basic & Classic Cards Will Be Added To The Game!
Content of the pack is decided at the moment you open it, not the moment you acquire it. So yes, you will have a chance to get new cards if you wait until they’re out.
And that’s actually a good idea, I won’t open Brawl packs (or any other Classic packs I might get) for now 🙂
Control Warrior - Shadows Post-Buff - #10 Legend (Offerrall)
Yes, it’s the same list. And it’s not really weird, because it’s by far the most popular Control Warrior build (on HSReplay it’s #1 Warrior deck by a HUGE margin).
Tavern Brawl - A Temporus Shift
Thanks for the correction! Since I’m on EU, I can’t play those Brawls right away, so I have to rely on the info other people are posting (and it’s not always 100% correct).
Tavern Brawl - A Temporus Shift
Update: It’s the second time we see this Brawl. Comments below this one are old, but can often still be relevant!
The Winners and Losers of the Hall of Fame Announcement
It’s not strictly better. I would argue that they’re quite similar. Plague Scientist is Combo, Plaguebringer is Battlecry – the difference is big (e.g. SI:7 Agent vs Fire Plume Phoenix). Plaguebringer also has 1 more Attack.
You can argue that one is better than the other (but like I’ve said, I think they’re on roughly the same power level), but neither of them is strictly better.
Vanish and Mind Blast Rotate to Hall of Fame, 10 New Basic & Classic Cards Will Be Added To The Game!
Yes, Mind Blast and Vanish will now become Commons after rotating them to Wild. So they will be craftable.
High Inquisitor Whitemane
This is a really bad card in Big Priest. Since it’s Battlecry, it does nothing unless you play it FROM HAND, and only after you trade off some minion first. Keep in mind that it only revives minions that died this turn, which means that if e.g. opponent cleared your board last turn (much more likely scenario), it does nothing.
If you want to run revive minions, both Catrina Muerte and Kel’Thuzad are much, much better in the deck.
Radiance
The fact that it heals only your Hero makes it a way weaker version of Flash Heal, which was not particularly powerful either (it was good, but not too strong). I think they went a bit too safe with it. Could have been “Restore 5 Health to your hero or a minion” – basically make it unable to target the opponent (in case they’re worried about burst potential – after all that’s why they’ve rotated out Mind Blast).
Vanish and Mind Blast Rotate to Hall of Fame, 10 New Basic & Classic Cards Will Be Added To The Game!
You will get two Basic cards that replace Vanish & Mind Blast (so Plaguebringer and Radiance) automatically, since Basic set is free for everyone. You won’t be able to Dust them too, since you can’t disenchant Basic cards.
You won’t get the other cards for free – you will be able to craft them or open in Classic packs. If you had one of the cards they replace, you already got its full Dust value back when it rotated.

Thanks!
I actually did both a ~month ago 🙂

And it’s still bad. I do understand that it’s not the easiest deck to play, but it doesn’t make as big of a difference as some people imagine. If the deck is difficult, it might lose 2 or 3% average win rate… but Pogo sits at ~45%, so even if we add the win rate lost due to “difficult deck tax”, it’s still bad. If it was great, but difficult, people would play it all over high Legend and in tournaments (like Patron Warrior was, for example). But they don’t. It’s not a terrible deck and it definitely has some good matchups, but it’s NOT a great deck.

My bad, fixed that part. For some reason I confused it with Goblin Prank. It still doesn’t change anything NOW, but it does mean that the card has higher potential.

Freeze Mage - Shadows Post-Buff - #17 Legend (Natume)
Yeah, I would also go with SoLegit’s build to be honest, I think he has most experience when it comes to Freeze Mage in this expansion.
Combo Miracle Priest - Shadows Post-Buff - #53 Legend (MikkerBoyDK)
Oh yeah, sorry, forgot to update source when updating the deck to the newer version.
Tavern Brawl - Brawl Block: Gods, Gadgetzan, Gurubashi
Really? You added your comment around 10:30 PM (22:30) my time. I hope that I don’t have to say anything more.
That’s because the games are heavily connected, and WowHead (just like HSTD) is one of the Fabyte Media sites.
It’s called cross-promotion. They post stuff about HS too (e.g. when the new expansion launches).
