Ashes of Outland Card List & Expansion Guide! Release Date, Card Reveals, Pre-Purchase Info, New Mechanics and More!
You’re right, that’s exactly how it will work.
Ashes of Outland Card List & Expansion Guide! Release Date, Card Reveals, Pre-Purchase Info, New Mechanics and More!
Yes, you’re mistaken. That’s not how duplicate protection works.
Duplicate protection for each rarity is separate. E.g. you don’t get duplicate commons at the start, but when you collect every common, you’re assuming that you will stop opening them and only open Rares, Epics and Legendaries. That’s not correct – after you open all cards from a given rarity, you will still keep getting that rarity, just random cards. When you open all Commons, you will start getting random duplicate Commons.
Duplicate protection will mean that you get more value out of your packs, but it would be absolutely crazy if you would get literally an entire set in ~50 packs. No one would pay for packs then, because you can easily collect enough gold to open more than 50 packs every expansion.
(Also, your math about the number of cards is wrong, because we only have 1x of every Legendary, so there’s less than 270 cards in total)

You should try translating from Chinese without knowing a single word in that language next time :p
Masters Tour Los Angeles Survival Guide (March 20-22)
Qualified players have got information that it’s not legal shortly after its release.
Players will still play on the latest patch, so they will be able to generate it (although it might be hard given that he has no tribe etc.).

I already added that info to the post, but it was confirmed that he will just give +2 Attack.

One thing with both effects.
Astromancer Solarian
Secrets, card draw, spells that summon stuff (e.g. Power of Creation) can also be cast by the Prime version. After all, they’re random spells.
I would actually argue that the prime version is amazing. Unlike Yogg, most of the things it will do will be beneficial – removal/burn/etc. will be cast on enemies, while you will get any card draw, Secrets etc. There’s a low chance that it will cast something good on an enemy minion (Conjurer’s Calling), but on average it should do much more good things than bad things.
Astromancer Solarian
They don’t. Every targetable spell will be cast on enemies, no matter if it’s beneficial or not.
But luckily, most of the single target Mage spells aren’t beneficial 🙂
Tavern Brawl - Three Wishes
Oh, no, no this time. Those comments are from the last time we had this Brawl (in Saviors of Uldum).

We just know that there will be a free adventure. No info about its format, when it will release etc.
Devs Have Confirmed - Whizbang the Wonderful Won't Stay in Standard
That’s a good question. Maybe they plan to rework them when rotation hits?

Every Year of the Raven (2018) expansion will rotate out when Ashes of Outland launches.
So Witchwood, Boomsday Project and Rastakhan’s Rumble.

Duplicate Protection Across All Rarities (Including Disenchanted Cards) + Free Deck For New/Returning Players
Yeah, everyone who wants to disenchant some stuff right now should wait until those changes go live 🙂

Yep, it will be safe to disenchant him.

It doesn’t work like that. It’s NEVER good to get duplicates. If you only get cards you don’t own, you have a much higher chance to get something you need, but if you get bad cards, you can still Disenchant them if you need Dust. There’s absolutely no scenario in which you’d prefer to get duplicate over a new card.
Duplicate card is Dust 100% of time. New card can STILL be disenchanted for the same effect, but it can also be playable.

To be fair, Runeterra isn’t doing anything new there. I’ve seen this kind of ranked system used for like 10 years already. At this point it’s the “standard” ranked system, variations of which Blizzard has also used in their other games. E.g. they’ve been using a similar system (but with Master instead of Legend) in Starcraft for many years now.
While it’s rather obvious that some of those changes (especially things like duplicate protection) were pushed because Blizzard was afraid of the competition, I’m 100% sure that Runeterra is not the reason they decided to push this ranking system. From my talks with devs, they have planned a ranked overhaul for a long time already.

If you downloaded a patch and still didn’t get it – you should probably contact support.
If you still haven’t got a patch, try downloading the game again.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll look for his comment and update the rarity distribution!
