You’re right about the worst case scenario, but looking at averages is a better idea. On average, one pack is around 100 Dust (not 40 Dust), so this bundle should be ~2400 Dust.

But yes, I agree that it’s not worth to buy just for the Dust 🙂

I’m not sure why, but people constantly overrate Sylvanas. All stats ever since shortly after she was released (including the ones released after the Dragon patch) indicate that she’s one of the worst Heroes.

HSReplay stats put her at #33 out of 35 and Firestone stats put her at #27 out of 35. Even if we take the average, that’s #30 out of 35.

Maybe people not really knowing how to use her Hero Power contribute to the weak result… but at the same time, Deryl which has even harder to use Hero Power is consistently in Top 5 stats (not to mention that both HSReplay and Firestone gather those stats for above average MMR players – like 6.5k+ or something).

But in general, taking any Hero to #1 doesn’t mean that it’s good. Despite being lower tier, she still has 8% win rate – so 8% of people who pick her win with her (the numbers for Tirion and Deathwing are 20%+ in comparison). It doesn’t mean that she’s good, it just means that a really good composition can carry no matter what Hero you run (because even Millhouse has ~5% win rate).

Yeah, in the blue post he mentioned that it seems to be problem with specific devices. It seems to be working on mine, but let’s hope that they figure it out as soon as possible 🙂

That’s interesting. I didn’t have a run open myself, but maybe they’ve changed their approach. Maybe too many people were “abusing” and didn’t finish their runs just to get free tickets? :p Although I don’t see a free Arena ticket every ~2 months as a big issue anyway.

I mean, I’m pretty sure that SOME people will get it even if it’s the worst deal ever. But I can’t imagine that the sales for this bundle will be high. $2 per pack is a lot. Even if I was playing mostly Mage, I would still rather get let’s say DoD packs at a better price.

Well, technically it’s not ANY Hearthstone stream. The streamer has to activate drops option first. But I guess that pretty much every streamer did it, because there’s no reason not to 🙂

So yeah, you can most likely watch any of your favorite streamers and get packs.

I’ve been wondering about the same thing! But given that the cards don’t have rarity crystals (unlike actual Constructed cards, which do have them even in BG), I don’t think that those mean anything. I think that they just felt that a given card “belonged” to a certain class and decided to color it this way to keep it thematic.

I would be surprised if they first released a card in BG and THEN added it to Constructed, but who knows? 🙂

I honestly wouldn’t mind getting cards from Year of the Raven if not for the cost. If we got 10 packs for the price, then it would be fine.

Yeah, I think that next week would be the most optimal. BG Dragons patch this week, Standard Year announcement next week, expansion announcement 2 weeks from now. This would be a nice way to spread the news but wouldn’t be too late.

(And while I more or less know what’s going to be announced, I have absolutely no clue when, hahah)

I think the pack was giving you cards from all Standard expansions to begin with. They just put the wrong description on the blog post early. In the patch notes we’ve got shortly before the release, it was also saying Year of the Dragon, so I guess that was their plan before.

But I agree, I’m sure that many people who bought it thought that it’s only Year of the Dragon. Heck, if I didn’t check the patch notes again (or didn’t read the comments) I would have thought so too. I just updated the ones on our site.

I’m happy that they’re introducing Class Packs, because it’s a good idea. But I’m not happy that they’re changing ninja editing things like that AND that the packs are such low value for $10. Even Year of the Dragon cards were a hard sell, but Year of the Raven cards are nearly useless for someone who only plays Standard (and that’s most of the players) since they rotate out in ~1.5 months.

In some of the previous bundles you could get packs for under $1+ a random Legendary for free. I know that it has cards from specific cards, increasing its value for players who are mostly using that class, but still.

Maybe they’re just testing waters and will do more Class pack sales at a better price in the future :p

A new type of pack, it can contain any card from Year of the Dragon expansions (RoS, SoU, DoD).

I think that they can still fit Dragons by just removing a bunch of other minions. But if they ever add e.g. Pirates, Elementals (or maybe even make a new tribe for BG) then I’m pretty sure that they will have to temporarily rotate one out.

Another thing is that four of the new minions are Tier 6, while no Tier 6 minions were removed. Between that and being able to go to T6 for one less gold, things might get interesting, since we have more choice and easier way to get there 🙂

Honestly not sure? The guaranteed Legendary comes after 10 packs opened, and here are only 5.

Maybe it still has the 10 pack pity timer, which would heavily increase your chance to open it in the 5 too, but I don’t think it was confirmed. People will probably test it soon 🙂

EDIT: Okay, a mistake. It contains cards from any STANDARD set. In the patch notes they sent me earlier AND the ones they posted right away it said Year of the Dragon… Then it was edited later. Sorry about the confusion 🙁
