Blizzard has just posted a Scholomance Academy Overview video, which explains some of the basic mechanics such as dual class cards. During the video, there’s a part during which multiple cards are flying through the screen, and while most of those cards are familiar, some of them we haven’t seen yet.

There’s also a card called “Soul Fragment”, which is a Warlock / Demon Hunter dual class card. However, as you can see it has no rarity gem, so it’s NOT a collectible card. It’s also “casts when drawn”, and those are always shuffled into the deck by other cards. So I can imagine that it will be a part of expansion, it will just get shuffled into your deck by something else (like a minion or another spell).
However, we are not adding any of those cards our site yet, since they haven’t been confirmed. Maybe they’re old versions of those cards, or maybe they were removed from the expansion before this video was made (things like that might happen). That’s why I will wait for them to be officially revealed – but I’m leaving them here, because I’m like 90% sure that they are actual cards.
I agree with your reasoning of not posting those cards yet until it’s been confirmed. Appreciate this acknowledgment, though! Always so good to speculate such cards, yes?
However, secret passage’s artwork is quite identical with the preview image that SAGamer supposedly to reveal in about 60 hours. But I can’t find anything from another card, wandmaker, so it might be revealed during the livestream or afterwards.
Guess we will find out one way or another!
Oh yeah, it kind of looks like it… Then honestly even more so, I don’t want to “take away” the reveal from someone. If they leaked it themselves, it would be a different story, but it’s not really their fault that Blizzard decided to use this card in this video.
Either way, we’ll know all 135 cards by next Wednesday, so no need to rush things 🙂
You’re right. I’m sure those revealers work hard to make the announcement fun and entertaining, so we shouldn’t take away it from them like you said. Hope any cards doesn’t get revealed earlier in next week.
I also believe they’re likely real cards, especially since at some later point of the video we see Valeera drawing multiple cards at once, that is (most likely) Secret Passage being used.
Other than that I am really curious about the generator card of Soul Fragments, this could be very interesting. A legendary maybe? Either way I hope it is a minion and not a spell as those are definitely worse, since they have no immediate effect whatsoever on the game and you wouldn’t want to run a card solely for random/inconsistent healing anyway.
We haven’t seen Warlock / Demon Hunter Legendary yet, maybe it will shuffle those cards somehow? Like for every minion that dies when it’s on the board, it shuffles one into your deck? That would be pretty cool 🙂
