Patch 20.4.2 Is Now Live!
Patch didn’t work correctly on its early mobile release. People who downloaded it within the first hour or two on Android or iOS could still play Stealer just fine.
Blizzard was working on it last night. Not sure if it’s already fixed, though.
In-Game Notification (Or Quest) For Nozdormu Day Might Be Coming Soon
I played a bunch of Blitz matchups with my friends and they were pretty fun (although you really have to play different decks, because some are simply too slow for it, haha). I recommend trying it out with friends – if you both agree to run it then you can guarantee the Blitz game after all.
In-Game Notification (Or Quest) For Nozdormu Day Might Be Coming Soon
I think they should just add it as a “Legendary” Quest (like those Quests for packs during events). After all we have a special, 4th slot for those right now so no one would miss it (other than people who already have an unfinished Legendary Quest, I mean :p).
20.4.2 Patch Notes - Stealer of Souls Ban in Wild, Captain Flat Tusk Nerf and Kangor's Apprentice Buff in Battlegrounds, Bug Fixes
It’s actually pretty good in Zoo. But Zoo is not good right now :p
If I had to guess, they plan for more Zoo synergies next expansion and Stealer of Souls might be useful then. Otherwise they would probably just straight up nerf it instead of banning it in Wild only.
Stealer of Souls Banned in Wild Next Week (Wednesday), First Constructed Card Ban in Hearthstone
Tbh it’s not played in any Standard decks, because Warlock doesn’t really exist in Standard. It’s actually a pretty good Zoo card, but we might need another expansion to unlock its full potential.
It feels like they have plans for the card in Standard, otherwise I don’t see a reason why they wouldn’t just nerf it instead of temporarily banning it with an intention to nerf it later.
Shop Update: New Targeted Standard, Wild & Year of the Phoenix Bundles Now Available
If you don’t see it, then you can’t get it I’m afraid. Like I’ve said, those are targeted bundles and different people see different ones.
Discard Warlock - #1 Legend (MrLuke98) - Barrens Caverns
We’re aware, none of the Warlock deck codes work on our website currently. Trying to identify the issue, hopefully we’ll be able to fix it soon.
Shop Update: Mecha-Jaraxxus Hero Set Available For $14.99 / €14.99 (No Gold Option)
Yeah, $15 is a pretty steep price. But I’m sure that it will sell well, it’s one of the better Hero skins in the game IMO (for Warlock I only like N’Zoth more, and only slightly).
Wailing Caverns Mini-Set Early Meta Decks - Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes
That’s honestly not a problem. You really only go down to 1 mana for a single turn – after that you ramp up like crazy with Nourish, Overgrowth etc. I played the deck yesterday and I often got back up to 5+ mana on the first turn.
Book of Mercenaries: Xyrella Guide And Boss Strategy
Thanks for pointing it out, fixed!
20.4 Patch Notes - Wailing Caverns Mini-Set, Paladin Nerfs, Battlegrounds Update, Hero Skins & Card Backs Permanently Available For Gold Purchases and More!
Just yesterday I said that I hope for some Paladin nerfs with the mini-set because even if other classes get some powerful cards, Paladin will still likely be too strong. And here we are!
I can’t wait to see how the meta will look like.
New Arena Rotation After Wailing Caverns Mini-Set Releases
Updates usually drop at 10 AM PT, so that would be 1 PM EST I think.
But like Durps said, be sure to start your Arena run earlier, not right before the update. They disable an option to start new runs shortly before rotation. I would go even further than 1h, at least a few hours just to be sure.
Wailing Caverns Hearthstone Mini-Set Guide - Cards, Release Date, Price, How To Get It
Yeah, I’ve seen the leaked cards, and they look really interesting! But I want to wait until official reveals before posting.
Wailing Caverns Hearthstone Mini-Set Guide - Cards, Release Date, Price, How To Get It
Honestly, I disagree. Dungeoneers actually look decent, especially Shaman one stands out. Since it’s the class that struggles with card draw, having a 3 mana 2/3 that will often draw you 2 cards is a big deal. And Mutanus can be a nice tech card in certain metas.
But of course, we’ll see how it all works out.
Wailing Caverns Hearthstone Mini-Set Price & Card Rarity Distribution
Yeah, that’s true, but the issue is that you never really know how good the cards will be. Like Moonfang – it seemed meh at first, but it was actually played in some of the best Paladin builds this expansion. And the deal is only temporary, so it’s not like you can wait for a year to see whether those cards will see play. It’s even more apparent with the first expansion of the Standard year – cards from Wailing Caverns mini-set will be in Standard for (give or take) 1 year and 10 months, so a lot might happen with regarding their power level.
Of course the discussion is different when you use real money, but when it comes to Gold, it was just better value than buying packs. You could argue that you can save it from packs from the next expansion, but here you also don’t know whether the cards you open will be useful or not. The only alternative use of Gold are Hero portraits, but it comes down to whether you prefer having more cards or more cosmetics.
I actually ended up not buying Darkmoon Races with gold, because I had ~50 packs from Darkmoon Faire saved up for it way before pricing was announced. And I still haven’t opened Moonfang, which I then had to craft, so I’d be much better off not buying all those extra packs and simply paying 2k for the mini-set. But who knew. Right now I just bought 20 less Forged in the Barrens packs with gold and saved that 2k for mini-set.
Wailing Caverns Hearthstone Mini-Set Price & Card Rarity Distribution
That would be really flavorful. While I was nearly exclusively playing Horde, I remember Westfall really fondly from my Alliance playthroughs back in the day.
Wailing Caverns Hearthstone Mini-Set Price & Card Rarity Distribution
It says so in the trailer description on YouTube, so I’d call that “confirmed”. Not sure if the same pricing will be kept in the future, but I would guess yes.
Shop Update: Magni Bronzebeard Hero Set (1500 Gold or $9.99) and Lunara's Garden Card Back (500 Gold or $2.99) Are Now Available
Annhylde from the last Tavern Pass is my favorite so far.
It was arguably the strongest class in the game, now it’s in the bottom 3. Even the best Paladin decks right now are maybe low T2 / high T3 at most. So yeah, between the nerfs, the meta shift and the class not getting anything strong that supports their playstyle from mini-set – Paladin has been brought down.
