Shop Update: Mecha-Jaraxxus Hero Set Available For $14.99 / €14.99 (No Gold Option)

Patch 20.4 came with a MASSIVE update to those of you who like purchasing cosmetics for gold. A total of 11 Heroes and 94 Card Backs became permanently available for in-game Gold. However, not every single Hero is available – many of them are still unobtainable for players.

One of them just made a comeback to the in-game shop. You can buy Mecha-Jaraxxus Hero set, originally available through Boomsday Project Mega Pre-Purchase Bundle, for $14.99 / €14.99. However, unlike most of the Heroes available over the last few months, Mecha-Jaraxxus is NOT available for Gold, you can only get him for real money. Of course – there’s a chance that he’ll join the 11 Hero skins that are purchasable for Gold in the future, but for now that’s the only way to get him if you didn’t own him yet.

If you get it, you’ll also get a Mecha-Jaraxxus Card Back, which was available for either of the Pre-Purchase tiers back in Boomsday Project.

You can get him through the in-game shop. However, some players are experiencing issues – if they already own Card Back, but not Mecha-Jaraxxus (because they only got the cheaper pre-purchase), the game tells them that they already own it and thus can’t purchase it.

cost way too much, i think they need a gold sink to encourage player to pre order next expansion

I think Blizzard’s strategy is to make heroes previously purchasable for small amounts of money or though promotions obtainable with gold, while the heroes that came with big pre-orders will be purchasable for money. All this said, I’m happy to see pre-order heroes returning to the shop.

I might’ve been tempted to buy it for gold. Not tempted to invest real money.

Yeah, $15 is a pretty steep price. But I’m sure that it will sell well, it’s one of the better Hero skins in the game IMO (for Warlock I only like N’Zoth more, and only slightly).

Uh Nemsy? But I clearly prefer obnoxious heroes. Sir Annoy-O, The Dame etc.
