Tavern Brawl - Top 2 - Deck Ideas!

Hi, two things: 1. The description part is wrong in the post. it says ”Magical creatures are escaping from Tol Barad! Play a minion and get a random spell of the same cost, but for free!” when it should say ”The innkeeper is wondering which two cards work best together. Show Him – choose 2 cards and we’ll fill your deck with them!´´ . 2. The other thing, is that discard warlock is also great with this. ”The soularium” + ”Soul Barrage´´.

Hearthstone Legendary Crafting Guide (Standard) - United in Stormwind

Regarding Y’Shaarj, i been using it in the ladder with some success in a quest shaman. It’s basically a combo deck where Your combo is HP + Y’Shaarj to deal up to 48 dmg with 4 corrupted circus médics and 4 corrupted dunk tanks. Now that The meta is not as aggro as it was about a month ago, The deck is doing much better now

Trial by Felfire Challenges Guide – Decks & Strategy - Ashes of Outland Solo Adventure

Ive only done the first 4 so far, but they all went at first try using:
1 and 2: Highlander Shaman (Control)
3: Highlander Mage
4: Highlander Hunter
Note: All three decks i used without any alteration as how i use them in ladder.
Magherithon was a close call tho…

Tavern Brawl - The Outlandish Burndown

Today i almost only see Druids with the fireball thing, and Hunters with +2/+2 to all minions everywhere. the match is pretty much resolved depending if the hunter draws the lifesteal minion or not.

Yesterday i liked a mage deck that was named Burn something, and its HP was 2mana summon a minion that replicates your spells, and the treasure was spells cost health instead of mana.
Some highlights:
1) Winning on T2: HP (summons the minion that replicate spells) > cast Molten reflection (the minion cast it too, so end up with 3 minions) > Cast Pyroblast > win
2) Casting Puzzle Box with 2 copying elementals in place on T5 > Pure chaos for about 5 minutes, 10 empty mana crystals, about 20 dmg to enemy, about 15 dmg to self, some armor, all hand cards discarded but 3 spells for excess mana, board cleared but new minions on board, they died too, about 5-6 new minions passed through the board, none left in the end. a weapon in hand, many cards drawed and lost in the process. Very fun to watch.

Twin Slice and Battlegrounds Balance Changes Are Now Live!

The battlegrounds changes are very welcomed. the last few days it was getting ridiculous, evryone going for the same strategy was boring and it was actually a relief when beasts were out of the roster cos the game was finally different for once.. Now getting big saurolisks is still possible, but much less oppresive. Same goes for strategies that use golden/multiple mackaws along with a powerfull stat DR + Baron. It can still be done, but its less common/harder to do. i havnt tested the buffed heroes yet tho, i think all three buffs are justified. One thing i think they should do now, is nerf Captain Hooktusk, Her HP is just insanely good, the fact that is a Discover AND it cost 0 mana, AND you have some control on the mana cost of the minion is just too much.

Pirates Will Join Battlegrounds Roster on June 9! 17 New Minions and 4 Heroes, Minion Types Shifting Each Game

Some additional information in case anyone’s wondering..
1) Nat Pagle basically summons a chest that when killed summons a random golden minion. (No idea what Golden Nat Pagle does).
2) Tried Eudora and she seems weak. You need to press her HP expending 1 mana on four different turns (VERY Slow considering you dont have 1 mana to spare every turn), and the forth time, she gives you a RANDOM Golden minion. Not sure if she can give you a minion from a superior tier (probably yes) but she can deffinetly give you one from below (i got a golden murloc tidehunter when i was in Tier 3 :facepalm: ) Note that this is NOT a discover, so chances are very high that you end up expending too much time and mana only to get a minion is either weak, or that doesnt align to your game plan (like getting a strong beast but having a mech army).

There are many fun combination to try here, So far my favorites (Not necesarily the strongest) have been:

Priest: Twilight Drake + Netherspire Historian + Drakonic Operative + Breath of the infinite
Hunter: Dire Frenzy + Scavenger’s Ingeniuity + Diving Gryphon + (Viscious Scalehide or Zixor)
Shaman: Marshspawn + Menacing Nimbus + Earthen Might + Big Bad Voodoo
Mage: Sorcerer’s Apprendice + Arcane Missiles + Research Project + Flamewaker

Ashes of Outland Expansion is Now Live!

This expansion seems fun. right now everybodys is playing DH and it seems quite strong. It can very easily control the board in the early turns and it can easily snowball the gamefrom there..

The thing i hated tho, is that they put battlegrounds behind a paywall now. The “perks”(being able to choose between 3-4 heroes instead of 2 and stats) that we earned by buying packs in Decent of Dragons , now we have to either pay for them with real money or 2500 gold (thas a lot of gold). I just assumed they were going to use the same system as before.. =(

Warmaul Challenger

The only fact you are not taking into consideration, is that a normal pack contains 4 common cards and 1 rare card. Even if you have all commons this continues to be the case (you will start getting repeated commons at that point). So yes, you will get all common cards very fast, but Rare, Epics and Legendaries will take longer depending on your luck.

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Heroes Tier List & Guide - Best Available Heroes & Strategies - August 2023

Thanks for the update! i was surprised to see Ysera so low. i played with her once and found her HP to be very good to support a dragon army (specially considering that these first few days, everyone were trying them, this seemed pretty good to help guarantee a stream of dragons in your roster).

Other than that, i was surprised with how good Deathwing was, when i found that his HP affected both sides i thought he was going to be pretty bad, but in reallity, not only you can get advantadge from it as the article says with tokens and rats. its also pretty good in the early game, because that bump in attack makes it so that almost all minion interactions are both dying. This means that even if you not necesarily win, at least draw most games, so you can get to the midgame unscathered.

Malygos i also thought was going to be very bad. I had assumed you could only use its HP on your own minions, not tavern.. i havent played with him yet, but it seems a lot better now that i know you can use it on tavern minions as well…
Final coment Nozordomu is VERY good. it was the first new hero i got to try and loved it.

Ok, i missunderstood how Red Whelp works, he actually does all the dmg to only one minion (2 if golden). Still, quite a powerful effect…

I think another key dragon is tier 1 red whelp, by the midgame a golden red whelp would be very good at removing divine shields, and in some cases killing key low health minions (such as soul jugglers or pack leader) its effect is similar to Nefarians HP (better in some regards, worst in others) it might be worthy to even consider trying to get two golden red whelps…

I get your point tho, dragons in general seem good, but i dont see a clear abusive synergie such as Cobalt Guardians in mech or wrath weavers+watchers in demons. i think ill be more clear once we get to play with it.
Another thing, is that i think it should be more difficult to construct a specific tribe army now,. With a larger pool of minions, the chances of getting what you need diminishes…

Battlegrounds - Demons Nerf Coming This Week, Big Content "Right Around The Corner"!

Good! i dont think the Watchers requiere a nerf, they are strong, but they are tier 3, so they are not always that avaliable, and they requiere you to have at least 1 wrath weaver in order to be effective. so i think that if they nerf that, they should target the weavers (probably reducing theyt grow factor to 1/1, 2/1 or 1/2).
Regarding the dragons.. i wonder how they will handle it.. i think that adding a whole new tribe with sinergies, will make it a lot harder to specialize so the general power level should go down… unless they add one and remove another, in any case, adding dragons at least should make menagerie builds better 🙂

Battlegrounds Card Database Now Available!

One thing i noticed is that the golden version of Zapp is showing him with Windfury but it was recently changed to have Mega windfury. Golden Soul Juggler also says that he does 6 dmg to a minion, when in reality he deals 3 damage to a random enemy minion twice.

Tavern Brawl - All-Star Squad

i just love it when Brawls allow you to play the Mogu cultist combo. its such a satisfying combo to execute.
I recomend doing it with warrior, so you can have some help surviving thanks to the HP (Priest’s HP can also help you in the same way, but the warrior has the advantadge that it helps even when you are still full). This is more for the fun, not a very succesful strategy. Cos you are going to lose to any stratedy that plans on killing you before turn 6-7, but you can win against other ppl that are not playing super effective agro strategies. (btw if you see a pogo, just concede, there’s no way you will last long enough to execute the combo).

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Heroes Tier List & Guide - Best Available Heroes & Strategies - August 2023

I see your point, there is value in forcing the choice of making an unoptimized order of attack or risking giving an useful minion, specially in the late game. Now, in terms of consistency, i’d say that the most consistent hero in the game is Deryl. Not necesarily to get N°1 but deffinetly to get n°2-3. His lategame is not very good, but his early and midgame is so good with whatever minions you get, that is usually good enough to carry you to the top 3. (The only time since i learned how to play him that i’ve done “bad” with Deryl, was when I finished 5th because i sold by mistake a very buffed Vulgar Humunculus in round 5 or 6 :facepalm: )

Battlegrounds Matchmaking Update - Need 3 Turns To Fight Against The Same Player Instead of 2

Sounds like a good change, was frustrating sometimes when an enemy got too much ahead of the rest and the game keeps matching you against them…

Btw… is there an explanation somewhere about how the matchmaking is made INSIDE these matches? Is it random or is it acording to your possition or some hidden rating or something?

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Heroes Tier List & Guide - Best Available Heroes & Strategies - August 2023

The thing about Raffam, is that people know about its HP so its pretty easy in the early to mid game, to give him tokens or not very usefull minions, partly negating the power of his HP. Similar thing happens with Nefarian, since you assume you will recieve a 1dmg aoe at the start of the game, you can adjust and for example, not put your Cobalt Guardian first in line to hit like you would normally do. I’m not saying he is not strong, he does have one of the strongest HP, but i dont think that he is THE stronger hero, and therefore candidate for a nerf. For example i think Edwin is better due to being more consistent.
