We’ve got some amazing news for Battlegrounds players. Game Designer Conor Kou has shared some very interesting info.
- Demon nerf coming THIS WEEK! We don’t know which cards will get hit, but if I had to guess, I would say that the stacking stats of Wrath Weaver or Floating Watcher are the biggest problem. Triple Soul Juggler is also a powerhouse in the mid game, but he falls off in the late game, so I’m not sure if that’s the main problem.
- A big content patch is “right around the corner”. The date is not very precise, it might mean next week, the week after, or maybe even early March. But either way, it’s pretty exciting. Is it finally time we get Dragons that were teased a few times in the past? If yes, I really wonder how they decided to implement Dragon synergies. Also, they will keep an eye on Demons in case they remain problematic after this week’s patch.

Man am I glad they are nerfing them hopefully watcher to 4 and weaver to 2 or something because I am just sick of playing against demons and dying unless I am somehow able to highroll a crazy deathrattle build or murlocs

Good! i dont think the Watchers requiere a nerf, they are strong, but they are tier 3, so they are not always that avaliable, and they requiere you to have at least 1 wrath weaver in order to be effective. so i think that if they nerf that, they should target the weavers (probably reducing theyt grow factor to 1/1, 2/1 or 1/2).
Regarding the dragons.. i wonder how they will handle it.. i think that adding a whole new tribe with sinergies, will make it a lot harder to specialize so the general power level should go down… unless they add one and remove another, in any case, adding dragons at least should make menagerie builds better 🙂
Thank god for that. Getting murdered by huge reavers and watchers is not fun. Hopefully Murlocs will be a little more viable now.

Just to clarify – we don’t KNOW that Dragons will come out yet, just hope so! But devs have been teasing them ever since last November so it’s about time 🙂
