You’re right it’s really slow, but I think you’ll be surprised

Against a quest warrior you’re going to have a full hand of cards (or close to it) it’s not like when you’re drawing cards from your opponents deck, you’re going to be top decking with no cards in your hand

I play a lot of control priest and I tend to beat quest warrior 3/4 times usually by out valuing them in the fatigue, it’s not like the deal 8 dmg is going to be hitting you in the face every turn
Unless you’re terribly unlucky (I run a lot of healing as well-fks over mages too)

And for all the anti aggro tools you could draw from their decks , there are a lot of really powerful minions and spells you could also get

In constructed unless you are like rank 25 most people tend to build their decks with impactful cards

It’s like some people believe that aggro and mid-range decks are the only decks that exist in hearthstone

The thing is control warrior is already a pretty good check to aggro decks

Control warrior is one of the last decks you wanna face playing aggro because they have a ton or removal and life gain

Why is Yesera played in control decks? Because they already have the tools to deal with aggro and they need some late game value to help check other control decks

Thia card is pretty much that, this could double your yersa, gorhowl, brawl, armor spells, removal or whatever else you choose when you play it

Just because it’s not good on every matchup (like yesera) doesn’t make it a bad card

Mindbreaker

I think this card won’t see much play, if the effect only lasts while he’s alive

Pretty average stats for 3 cost minion and most decks don’t really rely or want to use their hero power @ all really in the early game and late game it’s not hard to remove this

Embrace Darkness

6 Mana delayed mind control

This could be ok in the right situation

But it’s a little slow and greedy, and your opening yourself up to some massive counter plays running this

It’s ok if you can afford to waste your turn 6 or 6 manna in the late game (which you prob can’t )

Mirrior match: Play this card steal ur opponents archbishop, they draw theirs steal your archbishop, you draw archbishop and steal their archbishop

Two hours later the game finally ends 300 cards later

People who think this card is unplayable/bad must never play control decks or something

This card pretty much wins you the game against

Control paladin, control warrior , control shaman, quest warrior, priests that don’t run this , control Hunter (if it’s a thing), and any other new control decks that’s win condition is to out value you.

If you face aggro, just don’t play this, if you face mid-range just don’t play this until you have stabelized and are in good spot

If you know you’re facing a control deck like control warrior play this card turn 7 if you can and just win the game

This is easily the highest valued minion hearthstone has ever seen and it’s under stated by like 2 mana and people think it’s unplayable… Ffs

I like cards like this, that are stated right for their effects

Will/could be a solid card in the right deck

Amazing control card Hunter just got right here, the only thing is the two big things hunters need for control to work is:

1: a little bit more AOE/ board clear

2: Some form of healing (or mages will wreck control Hunter)

Hunters are getting loaded with value control cards this expac (so far)

Yes it’s like playing a Yesera with a much slower effect

You need to be In control of the board sadly to drop it

I’m just saying this cards gonna be hard to play , Yesera is a pretty terrible card to draw in a lot of matchup (minus control)

This card is effectivly doing nothing the turn you play in unless you have elementals alive on board

Dead Man's Hand

Gang up hardly saw any play because rog had no decks that could support the card

It was a control card, but rogs didn’t have the cards to support a control deck back when it was released,
big reason was it had no healing cards to keep it alive in long matches

Control warrior has the cards to support a control deck that can effectively deal with aggro and stay alive with armor in long matches

Control warrior does however fall short against other control decks that tend to pack more value like priest, Paladin and Shaman (In Ugoro)

This card help fix that problem and give them a good fighting chance in control vs control match-ups

Assuming you have no board by turn 9 when you play this

Turn 9 : Play a 3-6 ele and gain 5 armor…. and pass (5manna worth of stats)

Turn 10: Attack with ur 3-6 ele and heal for 3 (If alive) then play more elementals

Turn 11; Finally start to get some good healing, if you have any ele’s left on the board

You needs to be ahead on turn 8 for this card to work, it’s pretty terrible if you’re behind on turn 8

Frost Lich Jaina

This is way to slow, and elemental mage isn’t even closr to being a viable deck right now, most games you’re playing as elemental mage are over by turn 9

and with this card you not only have to survive until turn 9, you also have to pretty much pass on turn 9 playing this card

AND THEN, start playing and attack with Elementals to start healing up

Mage is gonna need some more strong elementals to support this card

can some one confirm the new hero power?

Bolvar, Fireblood

yea it’d be a shame if the effect only works while it’s on the field

It’s be soo terrible if that’s the case

Bolvar, Fireblood

This card is really good if it get +2 for each shield while it’s in your hand and even better if it’s get it in your deck

Pretty bad if it only gets it on the field

Terrible if breaking it’s own divine shield doesn’t count

It’s nice that it’s not an auto include in Paladin either, since you have to put more cards with divine shield into your deck to make it good

So it greats a new archtype of Paladin well makes and old one more viable (Divine shield Paladin)

But if it’s effect is, it only get the +2 while it’s on the field AND only other friendly minions divine shield count, I wouldn’t wanna run this in my Divine shield deck for 5 manna

You could just run the 3 mana 3-3 that get +3 for sucking up divine shields and get like a 12-12 for 3 manna

This guys effect is pretty lackluster compared to that, considering the 3-3 also takes away your opponents divine shield too

Abominable Bowman

Even if this card summons a 1-1 it’s still OK in Mid-Range Hunter, and that’s worst case senario

This card could also straight up screw your opponent over with a good Rez (like another Highmain )

This card has to much potential to not be played in beast Hunter decks

And I’ve got legend multiple times with a few different control N’zoth decks, this card would be so busted in an N’zoth control Hunter if Hunter gets the support cards they need for a control deck

N,zoth rezes this which rezes more beasts

It’s like we’re in Naxx all over again

Abominable Bowman

Hunters have no good 7 drops right now as is

One of Mid-Range Hunter biggest weaknesses right now is running out of steam vs control decks that can stabilize the board after turn 6

This card give hunters that extra turn to curve out after turn 6 and has huge potential of bringing back possibly another high main or tundra Rihno after it’s cleared ( it’s a 7 drop so it doesn’t interfere with your turn 6 Highmain)

Yes it could pull a 1 drop beast, but it does have good stats being a 6-7 minion alone and even if it does only pull you a 1-1 , you’re still getting 7-8 worth of stats for 7 Mana (which is not bad )

This card could prob make a great addition to the basic Mid-range Hunter deck right now in Ugoro

And could even have some pretty great potential in control Hunter with N’Zoth if it ends up being viable

I won’t be surprised seeing this as a staple in beast Hunter decks
